The first Warbond after the release is finally here. Read on to see all the features and content in the Cutting Edge Warbond in Helldivers 2.
Warbonds are the way you get new stuff in Helldivers 2. By playing missions you earn Medals, and then you use those Medals to unlock new equipment in any Warbond that you have unlocked. Helldivers 2 started with two distinct Warbonds available, and it is about time we get another one. With that in mind, let’s see all the features and content in Cutting Edge Warbond for Helldivers 2.
Cutting Edge Warbond Content
Contents of the newest Warbond are predominantly themed around Automatons and energy/lightning-based equipment. We got new Armor, Weapons, cosmetics, Victory Poses and a Booster. The new stuff looks pretty cool, we hope that you have saved up some Medals to spend.
New Armor
We are getting some new armor prototypes, created by Super Earth’s Research and Development department. As for Armor Traits, all of them get the new Trait – Electrical Conduit, which protects from arc damage.
- EX-03 Prototype 3 – Includes a rubber underlayer for insulation. Handy, really, as this prototype’s wires operate at a shocking 400,000 volts.
- EX-16 Prototype 16 – Warning: Electric arc generates a strong magnetic field. Avoid use while near stapled paperwork.
- EX-00 Prototype X – The end result of several billion Super Credits and 12 years of research into creating “the Soldier of Tomorrow”. Show us it was worth it.
New Primary Weapons, Secondary and Grenades
New weapons are either lightning or energy-based and will bring a ton of fun to Helldivers and everyone (except the Automatons, they probably will not like them that much).
- LAS-16 Sickle – A sweet laser rifle that fires in short bursts. And it doesn’t need reloading. Just watch for overheating or shove a new heatsink in there.
- SG-8P Punisher Plasma – Exploding plasma rounds sound deadly… because they are, to aliens and allies! This modified Punisher shotgun is as fun as it is fearsome.
- ARC-12 Blitzer – Project an arc of close-range lightning, or charge it up to fire off powerful bolts. Good for taking out multiple targets and giving you more time to pick a celebration emote.
- G-23 Stun – a grenade functioning a lot like the Orbital EMS Strike Stratagem, just with a smaller area of effect.
- LAS-7 Dagger – a pistol that works as a more compact version of the LAS-5 Scythe.
Cosmetics and Victory Poses
In the new Cutting Edge Warbond, you can get up to three new Helmets, Capes, Player Cards, and Victory Poses.
- Capes – Botsplayer, Martyris Rex, and Agent of Oblivion
- Helmets – EX-03 Prototype 3, EX-16 Prototype 16, and EX-00 Prototype X
- Player Cards – Botsplayer, Martyris Rex, and Agent of Oblivion
- Victory Poses – Head Tap, Shotgun Show, and Presentable
New Booster and Super Credits
Lastly, we got a new Booster, and, as with every Warbond before, there are Super Credits that you can unlock, to alleviate the unlocking of the next Warbond.

How to Get Cutting Edge Warbond
It is unlockable like any other Warbond, and it has just been released. From your Acquisitions menu (R on the keyboard), navigate to the Cutting Edge Warbondand and unlock it with Super Credits. Remember that Helldivers Mobilize! is free for all players, and Steeled Veterans is unlockable by either getting the Super Citizen Edition of Helldivers 2 or by paying 1000 Super Credits. Cutting Edge Warbond is priced the same, ie, 1000 Super Credits.
