How to Check Planet Status and Galactic War Status in Helldivers 2

Helldivers 2 took the gaming scene by storm. It has sold over three million copies, and more are sold every day. This game managed to hit something that appeals to every shooter fan. Furthermore, in lack of a storyline campaign, it has Galactic War, where every Helldivers 2 player contributes. It consists of a range of planets players defend or conquer in the name of Super Earth. But how can you see what the progress is, how can you check the Galactic War and planet status in Helldivers 2? Let’s see.

Helldivers 2: How to Check the Galactic War and Planet Status

Checking the planet’s status is incredibly easy. While on the bridge of your Destroyer spaceship, head on to the Galactic War table. It will show you the current status of the War and all the planets that you can deploy in, with Terminids being on the right-hand side, and The Automaton Collective attacking from the left.

To check the status of a planet, first, select a sector you are interested in, and then simply hover over a planet you want to check. It will show you a percentage of how much of the planet is Liberated. The more the better. Once a planet hits 100%, it is Free and no more battles can be fought there. But how to influence that percentage?

How to Influence the Galactic War?

To influence the planet’s status and liberate it, you have to fight and succeed in Missions available on it. Each victory will add to the war effort and the planet’s liberation. When an Operation is fully done, you will contribute 0.0001% Liberation “points” per Mission in that Operation. For example, if an Operation has two Missions in it, you will contribute 0.0002% towards liberating the planet. In other words, to more Operation you do, the greater impact you will have on the planet.

Can You Track Helldivers 2 Map Status Offline?

There is no official way to track the Galactic War offline. But, a dedicated Helldiver and Redditor named Shalzuth created an offline tracker of his own. There you can see how the war is going on without having to launch the game. It looks like this is the only offline tracker for Helldivers 2 for now, more may be on the way.
