Helldivers 2 is a co-op shooter, recently released by Arrowhead Game Studios, which took the scene by storm. It’s a good blend of satirical lore, cooperative action, and fun gameplay. You team up in squads of four and go on various missions, that range from escorts to seek-and-destroy. And the enemies you face are nothing to laugh at, from robotic Automatons, to insect-like Terminids. There is a strain of Terminids that everyone has their sights on, as it is today’s Order to eliminate them, and they are called Bile Spewers. So, let’s see where to find these Bile Spewers in Helldivers 2, and how to kill them.
How to Find Bile Spewers in Helldivers 2
Bile Spewers are a part of the Terminid faction and therefore can only be found on Terminid-infested planets. Those are in the orange-colored sectors, on the eastern side of the Galaxy. They start appearing on the Medium difficulty, and naturally, the higher the difficulty, the more Bile Spewers you’ll encounter. Note that some Terminid planets do not have Bile Spewers on them, ie, they are not a guaranteed spawn on every Terminid mission.
What Are Bile Spewers
Bile Spewers have small heads and huge lower bodies, filled with green bile. Their official description is: ”Bile Spewers appeared following unavoidable spills of toxic chemicals on Terminid E-710 farms. The Bile Spewer’s thorax is bloated with several metric tons of corrosive acid, which it vomits in revulsion upon encountering Democracy.” Their most dangerous attack is, you guessed it, spewing corrosive bile, and that can take out a Helldiver a single shot.
Not to be confused with Terminids who are almost identical but yellow in color. Those are Nursery Spewers and are counted as a completely different unit, but behave similarly.
Where to Find Bile Spewers
In missions that have Bile Spewers, you find them all over the place. They can be on patrols, you’ll find them guarding Outposts and POIs, and a couple of them will surely emerge out of a Bug Breach. And now, how to kill them?

Best Ways to Kill Bile Spewers
Bile Spewers have several key traits: they are slow, have a large body but a small head, and can vomit corrosive acid that usually instant-kills anything it touches. Standing in front of them is a bad idea. If one sneaks up on you, you’re as good as gone. Additionally, you’ll be slowed if you get hit by their bile. With all that in mind, you should be mobile and aim for the head, their weak spot. Your best bet is to place a high-damage explosive shot to their head, with a Recoilless Rifle or an Autocannon for example. If you see them coming from afar, a few well-placed sniper shots should do the trick.
If one gets closer, goad it into spewing acid. It is stationary once it starts doing so, so jump out of the way when it starts spewing, and pour some lead into its unmoving head. Additionally, grenades and well-placed airstrikes are also quite effective.
You can shoot at their bloated acid sacks, but they are quite durable. Any weapon can hurt them there, but explosive damage is the best here since it will bypass the Spewer’s resistance. Note that if you blow up their sacks with explosive weapons, the Spewer itself will also explode, dealing damage to anything nearby.
On higher difficulties, Bile Spewers can behave almost like a mortar. When attacking they shoot acidic projectiles in the air, aiming them to fall on Helldivers’ heads. Projectiles are slow-moving so you can dodge them easily, but they have a decent AoE when they hit the ground.
In short, use explosive weapons, dodge the bile, and you should be eliminating these Terminids like it’s nothing. And grenades, don’t forget to use grenades.
