The Stratagem for the Patriot can be found in the Robotics Bay, and you need to be at least Level 25 to unlock it. It costs 20.000 Requisition to purchase. You can use this Stratagem only twice, with a 10-minute break between uses.

Recently, we had a limited-time “event” where every Helldiver could call in one regardless of the Level. It was a reward for defending Tien Kwan from the Automatons, But now the narrative has shifted, and the Exosuit is unlockable just like any other Stratagem.

How to Use the EXO-45 Patriot Exosuit

To call in the EXO-45 Patriot Exosuit, open your Stratagem menu and type in the code required (Left, Down, Right, Up, Left, Down, Down). That will summon the Pelican dropship that will deliver the Exosuit. Note that you should throw the strat-ball on a flat surface, as the walker can topple over and explode if dropped on a steep surface.

Approach it from behind and press the prompted button to enter it. Once inside, you have two weapons to fire with. The Fire button will shoot missiles and the Aim button will fire the minigun. Bear in mind that each of these weapons has limited ammo, and once depleted, the Walker cannot use its weapons anymore.

Strengths

• Highly resistant to small-arms fire and attacks from smaller enemies.
• Can stomp smaller enemies by walking over them.

Weaknesses

• Can be taken down with a single anti-tank shot.
• You cannot see anything on the ground, like Samples or other collectibles.

• You can stomp your own teammates.

EXO-45 Patriot Exosuits are a great addition to the game, and if used properly can turn the tide of battle. The various weaknesses it has, especially the limited ammo, make it quite a balanced option in the game.
