Yup. The code must be a bit daring! It's definitely doing something not-so-good to Firefox.
Edit: If you wait until the whole page loads, it's fine on Firefox.
All I remember is "Welcome to Die!!!"
Well, that and the awesome 6-player arcade setup. Other than that, it was just a pretty good beat-em'-up for its time. Definitely not getting this at $15 myself, but that's mostly because I can't stand online multiplayer... and I couldn't get 6 people in the same room that appreciated this game.
Edit: Plus, I'm pretty broke. $15 for an old arcade port just isn't possible right no...
Nope. The X-Men Arcade Game was never brought to consoles back in its heyday. The Genesis got their own interesting games, not the arcade game.
Also, there are quite a few X-Men games for the Genesis. Do you mean the original X-Men, The Clone Wars, or (yeesh) Adamantium Rage?
And where were you when they released games like Perfect Weapon as "classics?" I smell a troll, and it looks like at least 7 people agree with that.
At least these games are loved by a small fanbase, and are still the least bit playable after so many years.
If not - if you're really so incensed by the release of these games, could you at least tell us why you think they're so bad in the first place? Anything other than four-letter-words? ...
Snake Eater is a PS2 game. They haven't even started releasing PS2 games on PSN. At the very least, you might see it on a Blu-Ray re-release.
I wouldn't mind it as a downloadable title, but it has nothing to do with this article at all.
This, times a gazillion! We already have "virtual" memory cards, so it's not like Suiko 1 save file transferring is a problem. The only thing I could think of is that they're embarrassed to release it due to the incomplete English translation... but the fans didn't care about it back then, and we still don't! Bring it!
I'm once again throwing Einhander out there. Come on, Square! I don't care if Japan doesn't understand why we liked it so much, we did. So bring it to the US. Please?
Still, I'm overjoyed that a company like Working Designs thinks it's sustainable to bring these titles to PSN. That's a good sign for the rest of this stuff we're screaming for here.
Yes! As the Drunken Gamers have shouted to Sega over and over again, "Chu Chu Rocket, you b****es!"
I can't find any other mythological origin of the name "Deku" or "Dekuh" in reference to a tree, so it probably is a straight Zelda reference. I mean, it's all basically Yggdrasil, but the Deku Tree name definitely came out of Zelda OoT, and not from something before it.
Cool! It really is a Zelda shout-out!
If someone wants to waste someone else's time by asking them to connect their PS3 to the internet and download an update for them, based on their expertise in technology, that's at least 30 bucks going to the expert in my opinion. Said hypothetical expert could be doing something more involved, but they're pulled aside to do that.
However, we all know that isn't how it works at chain stores. The only "hosing" taking place here is the amount they...
Epic Yarn got a great score, although it seems there were some issues that some deemed completely ignorable (thus giving it a 10) and others didn't. The overall production quality, gameplay, and art style are looking wonderful, so I could only guess it's a game length issue in relation to price. (edit: Or lack of difficulty. I hope the cutesy art style didn't drive the developers to make this only for kiddies).
Then again, it's Famitsu, and I've found ...
@Megaton
Megaton, I believe you may have a bit of bias in assessing the quality of Megaton versus any other civilization ever.
What? Geez, I was waiting for that to hit the US store at some point, but it's leaving EU. Argh. Guess that's not gonna happen.
@Ares:
You may want to check out this review of the game first... Just sayin'.
http://thatguywiththeglasse...
I mean, it's Spoony, so at the very least, it's an entertaining review.
They could at least put somewhere in there "Oh, and take the game from Ninja Theory and give it to a competent studio, so we'll have DmC games that stay above an average of -50fps." But no. You just had to make a fan drawing.
Hey Sev, do we have a confirmed "Coming Soon" for Pac-Man CE DX? I can't wait for that game, and it's supposed to be coming out in Q4.
Yeah, I was double-checking the post to make sure it wasn't for last week. That's definitely available and well-advertised in the States.
Wow, Mr. Bushnell. No one's going to be playing a DS over the age of eight? Does that mean that kids at or under the age of eight will be the only ones replaying Etrian Odyssey titles? Pretty intelligent kids.
Maybe they'll just port them to the iPhone and fulfill your fantasy. Long, crazy, unforgiving dungeon crawlers are perfect for that crowd. Yup.
Why do I feel like I should be seeing N64 fanboys in a flamewar against 3DS fanboys right now? "Well, clearly the N64 version has sharper colors." "That 3DS isn't using Super White and RGB Full!" "Well, at least you can't get the Dirty Cartridge of Death on a 3DS!"
But anyway, the new one looks interesting. They seem to only have changed enough so it didn't look archaic, but they really kept it looking like the old classic. It...
The answer to your "manufacturers" question is in the article. Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, and software publishers - right at the end.
