Rifle-Man for the spelling win! "Above all, do no harm!"

Really, this is no reason to say that Rising or Peace Walker will do better than the other. It can be healthy to have such a competitive atmosphere within a company, and maybe he's releasing this information to rile up the team... the whole "Nobody believed in us!" underdog motivation you find in sports.

Otherwise, I'd have no clue as to why Kojima would release information about tea...

According to a recent IGN interview about the God of War Collection, http://ps3.ign.com/articles... , John Hight had this to say:

"We haven't developed general purpose code that would now work for every PS2 title out there... You know, a lot of people claimed, "Wow, you know, God of War II looks like it's PS3…" Well a lot of that has to do with the fact that we built this thing with hi...

Please, Kojima! All of our ZOE3 hopes have been dashed aside as "wishful thinking" for too long! It's time to bring out the giant robots!

Okay, the firmware hasn't been killing systems yet, so this is not a valid comparison. It would be embarrassing for Sony to just leave an Uncharted-freezing bug in all the systems until the end of time; it would be logical to expect an update unless the company completely folds right now...

I'm waiting... no, not happening. Oh, and "Braaaaaains...."

How is this even on N4G? This is beyond stupidity, even worse than the Hiphopgamer BS articles that litter the front page.

Mr. Playstationblog needs to get his head out of the 1950's and realize that in the modern business world, teams are multi-functional and working on much more than one project at a time. Even though I disagree with him on most of his 3.0 gripes, I can respect his opinion on those, but that's not the only thing that's ever happened on PSN or are happening ...

Sev, I'm totally giving you the benefit of the doubt here. While the story isn't exactly front-page news and the title seems a bit flamebait-ish (come on, a $300 console vs. a $10 popular-IP game, considering the costs, who cares about that figure?), take the PS3 Slim thing away and you've got an interesting story. What about Batman vs. TFU? I'd rather pay $50 to stay away from TFU and play Batman AA, but apparently the public disagrees!

Sonarus - That's fine if you won't buy a dynamic theme. I'm not buying a football static theme or one of those trashy "Ninja Rabbit Furry Girl" themes, and they'll do fine without my money. It's another thing to think that the entire nation wouldn't be interested in purchasing a great theme for three bucks... that's just not true. Honestly, if they make a GT5 theme, I'm shelling out the dough because I love the game that much. It's kinda like swag. But...

One could only hope that Ikaruga will make it. I'm praying that if something like Raystorm does well enough, Treasure may get up off of their butts and send us Radiant Silvergun, the Holy Grail of shmups in my opinion.

...and Marceles, you bring up a good point... where is Einhander? It's up in the JPN store, but not in the US.

Great, challenging, cheap, and I want it. Four reasons why this will never leave Japan. Such is the way of DSiWare. Everyone go watch your Mario Clocks in ceaseless agony.

Amidst all the racket, I'd just like to take one moment of your time to reflect on the fact that Wii console sales are not the hot topic in business postings right now.

*refreshing deep breath*

Okay, resume the flames.

You've still got the most credible post here. The only way to respond to this report is with questions.

Cybercrime, although it hasn't really reared its head just yet, is definitely a threat. The internet, as we geeks know, is becoming the mode of communication for just about everyone these days, and one of the largest methods of commerce. It's a fragile system.

However, many measures that had been used at one point for "security" reasons have been m...

You know, the FFVII remake really isn't that far-fetched of a guess. Kitase said very, very recently that news might come at a later time about the remake. That's a complete turnaround from the company's usual response, "SquareEnix has no intention of ever making the money-printer that would be a FFVII remake. We don't like money. We think it disrupts the Lifestream."

It would be very convenient for such a Japan-centric company to start talking at the Tokyo Game Sho...

While it may be true that gamers aren't gawking at NPD numbers while glide kicking a thug or two, game sales are the only way we can take a shot at the "future" of a game/franchise. These also show current market trends when it comes to install base size, DLC, genre, console, quality, review scores, etc. For example, when Grin closed its doors, color no one surprised that looked at the sales numbers for their games. Arg. I've found myself checking the "System Update" button over and over again about 3.0 ever since I saw the live demonstration video.

From the look of the Euro update, I don't think 3.0 is a part of this, there may have been just a server snafu or a late addition... Trine perhaps? Finally? Now that no one cares about the game?

The picture says it all. This was a small study in Seattle. They might as well have surveyed ten passengers on a cruise ship stuck in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle in a perpetual rainstorm, or did the whole thing in Detroit.

After watching this video, consider myself won over. The small ways that this makes the PS3 more user-friendly will go a long way, not to mention it's much more attractive for developers to put their stuff on PSN with these big, animated ads.

I thought the moving backgrounds would only "sorta" move, just in certain places on the screen, but the LBP theme really shows off the potential of this stuff! Imagine a bad-ass GOWIII background or a GT5 Nurburgring Nordschlie...

Put a cheap terabyte hard drive in there and you've got one beastly system for a relatively small amount of cash!

I think this works out pretty well for the people that agree with the "Reasons to buy 2 PS3's" article.

@Sev - Good points, thanks!

@Lil T -
1. I like your nicknames for FB/T. I think that a really good connectivity there would bolster the desire for Sony players to actually use PSN though. I really wish that there was more of a sense of community in PSN, and that might help with some users. Definitely not everyone, but those 25-35 year olds out there with cubicles and time for social networking? Definitely!

2. I'm glad that Sony does such great QA, and it...

Okay list, but why even mention trophies as a reason? As a loyal Playstation gamer, I'm still offended by how slowly Sony is moving to make their achievement system the least bit social. Could they at least have an extended gamertag? We now have the tech to have video backgrounds, which are awesome, but not the tech or business partnerships to be able to sync up your trophies and some numerical score to social networking sites, such as Twitter or Facebook?

Maybe this just is...

"He's just really enthusiastic about what he does.
He wants to promote gaming as much as possible. Don't you?"

Oh man, I've gotta "No." your "No," Leon. While I am at least a bit content that HHG only has a few small out-of-the-way ads that probably don't generate too much revenue (for now), he's just baiting hits from N4G with his titles and giving little to no facts or substance in his articles. In a way, it's a bit like the old "sensa...
