@ThatArtGuy - That's not all that Heavenly Sword was gutted for - that game was 8 hours too long for what it was. It seemed like years had passed in the six hours I played that game, and I remember telling my friend "If I have to fight another same-looking ninja, I'm not finishing the game." I didn't finish the game. That game had so much repetitive gameplay and same-y ninjas, I thought I was playing The Tick for SNES.

I'm sure MW2 is a bit more enjoyable, and a bit ...

Don't they admit this about every iteration of their OS? It's a good idea, anyway. Windows wouldn't be the same without Mac, old Metallica tracks wouldn't be the same without J.S. Bach, and living quantum physicists wouldn't be the same without Einstein. No problems here, seriously.

I don't like the steroids reference though. Everything's "on steroids" when it's better recently. This is one of the more insidious slang terms that's worked its way into the English l...

@Armyless/Darkstorn - Whoa, talk about a fight over nothing. @Everyone in this argument - Let's get back on topic before this train goes barreling over the Himalayas and we're left hanging.

This is MW2. That wasn't Glenn Beck in the interview, this wasn't the Mail, and there wasn't a march. It's "Fox and Friends," which is even scarier because Fox isn't putting someone else's name in the accountability section- this is clearly a Fox News-branded program.

Their response would be something to the effect of "That rating system doesn't work," but no rating system really works, so their response would be idiotic. I liked the comment above about sitting next to a 9-yr old with his family at the theater during Saw VI. Good imagery toward how rating systems really work.

Actually, the pure Fox agenda here would be to remove the rating system and have a government agency purge indecency from all media, leaving bookshelves to ho...

John Galt? Wow, an Ayn Rand fan in opposition to Fox? Would you kindly explain that one?

Maybe not opposition - I guess the comment was just describing what they do and pointing it out in an objective way, right? They're the rich movers and shakers, and they could do just as well without us have-nots, after all.

Fox, would you kindly stop talking about what you have no clue about? Actually, I've got a golf club for those news hosts if they want one.

You know, if you buy your 8-year-old a meat cleaver, you will make your child a kid with a very big knife. That's no good - let's outlaw meat cleavers immediately! Butchers will use giant butter knives from now on.

Seriously, Fox finds new ways to break the silly barrier every day. These are probably the guys that still want to ban The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn from every library in the US. Move to Australia, guys! They ban everything down under!

The fact that I understand what's going on in this argument scares me. I'm one of *those* nerds now, eh?

(chanting) D-L-C! D-L-C! Seriously - the broken archstone belonged to a giant, right? I certainly hope we get to see that world.

@Raztad - Flamelurker was the 2nd toughest for me, aside from Allant, because I was pure melee without any spells. There's a bone structure to the left of the arena's entrance that you can get Flamelurker trapped within for quite a while. Looks like part of a spine. Lure him in with minimal armor on, roll out of the way and face him on the other side. He'll just keep running in place and attacking - meanwhile, you can hit him with arrows, a spear's heavy attack, or magic.

Go back and read the article. It's good, and it has nothing to do with making 360 owners feel superior. It's about an awesome game, only available on PS3, that even bewilders seasoned critics as to why it's so good. That's nuance and innovation at work.

A commenter on the original site mentioned a fix for AMD PC's. Maybe it's a non-Intel processor thing.

@Xboxavatarsshoe - That's what I thought also. I prefer Uncharted over Gears, definitely, but this was a substance-less article about nothing. The only news here is that GB needs an editor - if they already have one, they need to boot him/her immediately.

Good points, GodMars. I forgot about the selling-out thing. I'm sure that a lack of copies of the game got in the way of 360 sales!

I don't think it's 45,000 Japanese people analyzing technology and purchasing PS3's that did this. It's just the implied culture of the systems. As a proud PS3 owner, when I bought my system near launch, I expected the "more Japanese" titles to come out for it. More turn-based JRPG's, anime stylings, and complex storylines. Turns out it didn't completely work that way (although there's a great list of the top 5 PS3 RPG's that got some notice today), but I've still got just a PS3...

@LosLonelyMan - there are a few N4G readers that are fans of The Escapist. I only know this since I'm one of them and there have to be two others somewhere around here... but seriously, if you haven't yet, check out Zero Punctuation. Yahtzee, creator of ZP, is Australian, and he recently wrote quite the article on the Australian Classifications Board:

@GodMars - You're talking in too broad of a term when you say "innovation." There are new and innovative games out there with very limited technology required. If you mean graphical innovations, now we're getting somewhere. I think Rhythm Heaven was pretty innovative in the whole-game sense of the word, but I sure wouldn't put that up against Uncharted 2 in a visual rumble.

I'm not so sure that I doubt this one. Square did an excellent job with loading times in FFX. Not only was that a PS2 title, it was their first of four (or much more if you count the FFXI expansions) Final Fantasy titles on the system.

Don't look at FF12 for any indications as to how 13 will turn out. That was a different team - actually, three different teams in a beautiful and massive train wreck, and the Kingdom Hearts team that finished 12 is on a different project. L...

I wonder how those stats pan out when you look at more recent multiplatform titles as opposed to the entire lifespan of the consoles.

It's no secret that many North American multiplatform titles are made on 360 first and shoved into PS3 second - 360 has the bigger NA install base by far, although the sales gap has closed (and the Slim pulled PS3 in front this month). More money. That's why companies exist in the first place. That's not supposed to be depressing or conspiracy...

@Butterfinger - Totally agreed! The people that will buy Assassin's Creed titles seem to line up well with the people that will buy MW2. Guess which one they'll buy first? By the way, off-topic, but awesome icon.

Honestly, I could care less about these two games. Whenever I stop playing Demon's Souls, I'll leap for Uncharted 2. Considering how much I like Demon's Souls, though, that time may be when the next-next generation of systems comes out.

I wonder wha...
