How to Use Double Bladed Lightsaber Stance in Jedi Survivor

Cal activates his lightsaber to duel an enemy

The stances and uses of a lightsaber are varied, and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor brings them all out to play. For every player and situation, there will be a lightsaber stance, letting players live out their perfect Jedi fantasies, or just letting players change up their tactics from fight to fight. Of these stances, one of the most iconic and useful is the Double Bladed Lightsaber stance.

Popularized by Darth Maul back in The Phantom Menace, the Double-Bladed Lightsaber stance is one of the flashier ways to use a lightsaber. Still, the stance isn’t all about looks. This guide will go over the pros and cons of the stance in Jedi: Survivor so that players can know when and how they should be using it.

What Are the Pros and Cons of the Double Bladed Lightsaber Stance in Jedi: Survivor?

The Double Bladed Lightsaber stance is perfect for use as an AoE stance, or one used to clear large numbers of weak opponents.

The blade of this lightsaber is long compared to other stances, and takes large, arcing swings when used to attack. Pair that with its moderate damage, and you have a stance that excels at hitting numerous targets at once.

The drawbacks of the stance are its low single-target damage, and the long windup times on its attacks.

Because the weapon is so large, attacks generally have much longer animations than other stances. In situations where speed is required, this can hurt the player.

The weapon also lacks single-target damage. Many of the skills players can get with this stance revolve around drawing enemies in or striking a large area. While this is good for clearing rooms of smaller enemies, this style lacks when trying to take on bosses.

What Are the Best Skills for the Double Bladed Lightsaber Stance in Jedi: Survivor?

The most useful skills for this style are:

  • Double Orbit: Cal throws his saberstaff, orbiting around him an extra time
  • Rising Storm: Pulls enemies toward Cal, and sends Cal airborne
  • Multifold Reflections: Greatly enhances Cal’s ability to block blaster fire, reflecting it at nearby enemies.

Rising Storm allows players to coral large numbers of enemies together, while Double Orbit then allows the player to cut them down quickly. Multifold Reflections allows the player to say safe while grouping enemies up, deflecting ranged fire.

While not the ideal stance for every situation, the double bladed stance does have its uses. If a player is ever feeling swarmed or in danger of being overwhelmed, this stance will be the go to for giving players a chance to lower enemy numbers and fight back.
