Helldivers 2: How to Get the PLAS-101 Purifier

How to Use the PLAS-101 Purifier
The Purifier is a powerful weapon in its own right, albeit a little situational. It fires superheated plasma shots that deal significant damage. That is not all, those shoots will go through Medium Armor, making it a good choice when dealing with Automatons. It is one of the rare Primary Weapons that can damage the heavy armored bots’ weak points. Lastly, the plasma shots explode on impact in a small area, enabling you to deal with groups of enemies.
It has quite a peculiar shooting method, represented by the Chargeup trait. That means that you have to hold the Fire button until the gun charges up (a second or two) and release it when you want to actually fire. Similar to the Quasar Cannon, the only difference is that the Quasar will automatically fire when charged up, and with the Purifier, you have to release the Fire button.
Now for the downsides. The Purifier has a somewhat slower Fire Rate, making it a less-than-ideal choice for intense firefights. You’d have to rely on your Pistol, or teammates to deal with scattered chaff. As for the Explosive trait, the Purifier continues the tradition of NOT being able to destroy fabricators and close bug holes. But, it is perfectly capable of blasting you when it hits something close by. So friendly fire is something you should watch out for. That makes it a suboptimal choice when fighting Terminids, as most of them will try to close in on you.
All in all, the PLAS-101 Purifier is an ok choice for now. Better suited for Automatons than the bugs (but great versus those annoying Bile Spewers). In the right team composition, when you have someone to clear the chaff, the Purifier is great for dealing with medium and heavily armored opponents.
