MP-98 Knight is the fastest weapon in Helldivers 2, so stick around to find out how to get and use it.

You’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to picking your Primary Weapon. The main goal of your Primary is to deal with weaker enemies and chaff, while you have heavier Support Weapons for the big targets. Weapons that can deal with swarms of enemies are invaluable, and no Primary Weapon shoots faster than the Knight. So, let’s see how to get and use the MP-98 Knight in Helldivers 2.

Helldivers 2: How to Get the MP-98 Knight

You can get the MP-98 Knight only by purchasing the Super Citizen Edition of Helldivers 2. The “deluxe” Edition comes with several goodies, unique Armor, and a single Primary Weapon – the MP-98 Knight.

We doubt that it will become available in any other way, so purchasing the Super Citizen Edition is the only way of obtaining the MP-98 Knight submachine gun.

The MP-98 Knight has the following stats:

  • Damage: 50
  • Capacity: 50
  • Recoil: 20
  • Fire Rate: 1380
  • Weapon Traits: Light Armor Penetrating, One Handed

How to Use the MP-98 Knight in Helldivers 2

The MP-98 Knight is a Primary Weapon, so you have to equip it before the mission begins, either through the Armory or during the Loadout phase. It is a submachine gun type of weapon, and that means it has the One-Handed trait. That allows you to more efficiently fire behind you (you do not have to turn and aim, as with other “two-handed” weapons) or carry stuff in your other hand (like SSSD drives or a Ballistic Shield).

Its stats are quite similar to the trusty Liberator, but where the Knight shines is in the sheer amount of bullets that it can fire. It has the highest Fire Rate in the game. But there is a downside, as it has a higher Recoil value than the Liberator, and a lot of those shots can miss if you are not careful.

It has three firing modes: fully automatic, semi-automatic, and burst fire. The fully automatic sounds best, but it is the most inaccurate one and it will empty your mags in no time. Semi-automatic is the middle ground, but the majority of players recommend burst fire mode as the most efficient one. It conserves ammo and keeps it accurate with a more manageable rate of fire.

In conclusion, the MP-98 Knight is great if you need a one-handed weapon, and if you are into shooting 50 bullets in two seconds. But, you’ll be going through your ammo faster than you can say “Mags empty!”.
