How to Use the AR-61 Tenderizer
The first step is to select the AR-61 Tenderizer as your Primary Weapon. You can do it during the Loadout phase before you deploy on a mission, or in the Armory, on the bridge of your spaceship.
The Tenderizer is a powerful Assault Rifle. It functions the same way as, say, a Liberator, but it packs a lot more punch. While only having 30 bullets per mag, and 7 mags in total, it is a force to be reckoned with. It has all the weapon options you’d expect. You can modify the zoom distance, toggle the flashlight on or off, and choose between three firing modes: Auto, Semi, and Burst.
The Tenderizer deals a lot of damage with each shot. During our testing, we concluded that just nine bullets to Brood Commander’s head were enough to remove it. As for smaller bugs, it only needs one bullet per bug, two to kill a Hunter, and three for a Warrior. That makes it an almost guaranteed pick for bug planets. Its effect against bots is somewhat limited, due to the majority of bots having at least Medium Armor, which the Tenderizer can’t penetrate.
The downside of the AR-61 Tenderizer would be the clip size (you can go through 30 bullets in no time). We can also add “the inability to deal with Medium Armor” but let’s be real, Tenderizer penetrating Medium Armor would be too much.
In summary, the Tenderizer is now an excellent choice for dealing with lightly armored targets. Practically a go-to weapon for bug planets.
