Helldivers 2 is one of the most popular games of the year, so far. You play as a Helldiver, fighting against Super Earth’s various enemies: either the Automatons or Terminids. Speaking of Terminids, they come in all shapes and sizes. From smaller Scavengers and Leapers, over flying Shriekers, to armored Chargers and Bile Titans. Terminid Warriors are the first real threat you’ll encounter, and one of the most common bugs you will encounter. So read on to see how to find and kill Terminid Warriors in Helldivers 2.
How to Find Terminid Warriors in Helldivers 2
Unsurprisingly, being Terminids, you first have to go to a Terminid-infested planet. Those are on the right-hand (eastern) side of the galaxy map. You will encounter Warriors on any difficulty level.
What Are Terminid Warriors
They are the first tough Terminid bio-form, with four legs and two fore-limbs, with a large head on the front. The official description of the Warriors is: “Warriors are the natural end result of a species optimized for mindless expansion. In controlled environments, they have eviscerated innocent baby cows in under a second. One can only imagine what they would do to innocent baby humans.”
Where to Find Terminid Warriors
You will usually find them in nests or during a Bug Breach, but most often on patrols. Moreover, they oftentimes emerge from a bug hole. Take that into account when throwing a bomb down there.
How to Kill Termind Warriors in Helldivers 2
Terminid Warriors do not have a specific mechanic or special protection. They behave like a “bullet-sponge”, ie, you can shoot when with anything. The more powerful the weapon, the fewer shots it will require.
Terminid Warriors do not have any special attacks. Shooting at their head will deal the most damage, as you’d expect. However, removing their heads does not stop them. A headless Warrior will keep going and perform one last lunge at you if they are close enough. After a couple of seconds they will collapse, but be ready to dive out of their way if they get too close.
But, there is a way to deal with this. Warriors walk around on four legs and shooting their legs will, naturally, reduce their ability to move around. That way you can be safer from their final lunge.
Best Weapons Against Warriors
Practically any weapon is good against the Warriors. But, if they appear in greater numbers, it is recommended that you use weapons that can deal a lot of damage with each shot. As for Support Weapons, Autocannon can easily one-shot a Warrior, but they usually come in groups. Laser Cannon can be great for cutting down groups of Warriors, but we found that the old trusty Machine Gun works best.
As for Primary Weapons, simple high-damage weapons proved the best, since Warriors have no special protection. Weapons like Breaker, Punisher, or Tenderizer. For Secondaries, the Bushwhacker can eliminate a Warrior in one shot up close.
