We have more than a few Warbonds in Helldivers 2, and some have proven to be better than others. Read on to see our list of the best Warbonds in Helldivers 2.
Warbonds are how Arrowhead Game Studios add new gear and cosmetics to Helldivers 2. Each Warbond has a selection of Primary and Secondary Weapons, and usually, there is a Grenade and a Booster to boot. New Armor sets are also included in the Warbond, and lastly, each has a bunch of new cosmetic items, like Helmets, Capes, and the like. Since the release of Helldivers 2, we got quite a number of Warbonds, and naturally, some have risen to the top, especially with the constant tweaking and fixing with every Patch. With that in mind, we have compiled a list of all Helldivers 2 Warbonds, ranked from best to worst.
List of the Best Warbonds in Helldivers 2
Helldivers 2 releases a new Warbond each month (that is the general idea for now), and each of them shakes up the game a bit. Players everywhere grind for Medals to be able to unlock all the goodies Warbonds offer, and, over time, some of those goodies proved better and generally more useful than the others, and one Warbond can provide a better “bang for your buck” than another.
We have excluded the Helldivers Mobilize! Warbonds from this list, since it is free and available for everyone. Also note that this is all opinion-based, and your own experience can differ from ours. Without further ado, below is the ranked list of the best Warbonds in Helldivers 2.
1. Cutting Edge
A Warbond released primarily to fight against the Automatons, its content proved to be useful on every front. Cutting Edge‘s Primary Weapons are all Energy-Based and are one of the most useful Primaries in the game. Sickle is a great all-round weapon with great stats, Punisher Plasma is perfect for dealing with and stun-locking clusters of foes, and the Blitzer surprisingly proved to be great versus Terminids. The Booster and the Grenade provide a lot of utility to the squad and only the Armor sets are kinda sub-par, being only useful in certain situations.

2. Viper Commandos
The first Warbond after a turbulent period, Viper Commandos delivered on the promise that Warbonds would be better handled in the future. While not the best in the technical sense, it is arguably the coolest Warbond to date, featuring cosmetics and items inspired by popular action movies. From the awesome triple-barreled sawed-off shotgun and Throwing knives, to skull-face helmets with berrets, this Warbond has the most cinematic feel. Additionally, it has one of the best Boosters in the game.

3. Polar Patriots
Polar Patriots was the most controversial Warbond, released in the wake of the whole PSN situation. It was regarded as being ok at best, but far from anything the players hoped to see, especially during those troubled times. But, after the long-awaited big patch, the weapons in this Warbond received massive improvements. Now it has one of the best weapon selections in the game, with Tenderizer and Pummeler being a go-to choice of many Helldivers. It’s Grenade and the Secondary are nothing to sneeze at. On the other hand, the Armor sets are nothing special, and the Booster is pretty lackluster.

4. Steeled Veterans
Even though it is the first Warbond in the game, Steeled Veterans still has some pretty useful items. Everyone’s favorite Breaker Incendary is here, along with “Big Iron” (Senator revolver). Dominator is also a good choice, but the last weapon, Liberator Concussive, is almost forgotten. Armor sets are useful if you like throwing orbitals far away (into Automaton bases). The Incendiary Grenade has a better alternative now, and the Booster is unfortunately one of the worst at the moment.

5. Democratic Detonation
The last Warbond on our list, Democratic Detonation has only a few useful unlockables. But, unfortunately, the items in this Warbond are either very good (only a couple of them) or absolutely irrelevant. DD has the incredibly useful Grenade Pistol, but besides that, other Weapons are either nerfed and have better alternatives now or are just lackluster. Eruptor and the Adjudicator are holding up, but the Booster, Grenade, and Armor sets are nothing special, highly situational, or “it’s been done”.
