One thing Fortnite is famous for even beyond its player base are its amazing collaborations. Over the years, there have been many diverse collabs with characters from all over media making an appearance. In fact, some collaborations went so far as to colour entire seasons’ worth of content. Understandably, some players are nostalgic about that, wishing for more season themes to be focused around an engaging collab.
Fortnite Players Discuss Possible Future Collab Seasons
The community has engaged on Twitter about this very possibility. Fitzy is one of the popular Fortnite content creators and leakers, and they stated a simple take to get the ball rolling: “Fortnite should make another collab season”.
As expected, fans have chimed in with their own takes, with many appreciative of the idea and coming up with potential collabs. Many suggestions are being thrown around, though most agree that they’re done with superhero/comic-book collabs.
Instead, there are suggestions such as FNAF, Steven Universe, Star Wars, and even Super Sentai. One of those that’s most often mentioned is some form of “Gaming Legends” collab. This idea would put together classic characters from different franchises over the years. While it would be cool, that’s somewhat unrealistic, given how much contractual work with many different holders it would take.
Still, there are also some who disagree with the idea. For example, user GUniverse77 says “I didn’t like the collab season to be honest. At the time I felt like it was cutting away from Fortnite’s originality. And I was never much of a Marvel fan either. Nowadays, I just don’t care because every season feels like a Collab season”.
There are others who don’t feel there would be much difference between a collab season and the way the game is now. This refers to the fact that most of the time in Fortnite, there’s one collab or another going on.
