There are a few different specializations, gadgets and even weapons that you can use to block damage in The Finals. Although Heavy Build is best at blocking damage, other Builds have items that can save them at their disposal. Let’s see what you can use to block damage in The Finals.
Heavy Build’s Mass Shield, Dome Shield and Barricade are obvious choices when it comes to blocking damage. Additionally, Medium Build’s Riot Shield is great at blocking incoming gunfire, and APS Turret can prevent massive amounts of throwables. Moreover, placing Goo can be a great way of blocking damage in The Finals.
How to block damage to do Block Boss weekly contract in The Finals
To finish the weekly Block Boss contract in The Finals, you will have to block a total of 5,000 damage. Although we previously mentioned ways to block damage in the game, not all of the mentioned ways are calculated towards completing this contract. On the other hand, some unexpected specializations, gadgets and arena carriables can help you finish this contract quickly.
The obvious way to complete a Block Boss contract is to use Heavy Build’s Mass Shield specialization. Additionally, you can use gadgets like Dome Shield, Goo Grenades, Goo Canisters and APS Turret to prevent incoming damage. Placing the APS Turret, especially when you are defending a cashout, can complete this contract rather quickly. Moreover, using Medium Build’s Healing Beam is also a viable way to finish this contract. On the other hand, even though the Riot Shield is great at blocking incoming gunfire, for some strange reason this blocked damage is not calculated for the Block Boss contract.
