If you are looking for the best ways to use Thermal Vision in The Finals you are in the right place. The game offers you different weapons and gadgets all unique to three different Builds you can choose from. One such gadget is Light Build’s exclusive Thermal Vision, which allows users to see heat signatures on the map. Read on to find out how you can best use Thermal Vision in The Finals.
The Finals: The best way to use Thermal Vision
Upon its activation, Thermal Vision grants the user vision of heat signatures for 20 seconds. In addition to this, it has a cooldown of 10 seconds. Importantly, you can use Thermal Vision to see through smoke, no matter the smoke’s origin. Similarly, it can be used to great effect on a map with the Foggy modifier, allowing you to see further in this condition. With that in mind, Thermal Vision is the perfect counter to Light Builds using the Cloaking Device. Meaning that you can see cloaked enemies while you are using this gadget.

The Best Build for Thermal Vision in The Finals
- Weapon: XP-54 or SH1900
- Specialization: Cloaking Device
- Gadgets: Thermal Vision, Smoke Grenade, Glitch Grenade
Firstly, the weapon you use with this build is highly dependent on the enemy compositions you are facing. Indeed, if you are facing predominantly other Light Builds, then SH1900 should be your first choice. This weapon is devastating at short ranges, especially against Light Build where one shell will be enough to down your opponent. On the other hand, if enemy teams are predominantly made of Medium and Heavy Builds, you are better off with XP-54. Nevertheless, if you take one of these weapons as your primary, we recommend taking the other in your reserve loadout. This will give you flexibility in case you need to switch your playstyle during the match.
Without a doubt Cloaking Device, Smoke Grenade and Thermal Vision are a great combination to use. The Cloaking Device is currently the best specialization for Light Build, and there are only a handful of things that can counter it. It uses invisibility in combination with smoke to obscure your opponent’s vision. If you can see perfectly in this situation, thanks to Thermal Vision, they can give you a big advantage over your enemies.
Lastly, for the final spot in your gadget loadout, you should take the Glitch Grenade. This is the best way Light Build has to deal with other Builds’ gadgets and specializations. Currently, the only thing that can counter this grenade is an APS Turret.
