My body is ready
Sorry a Demo won't due, however I do have an Idea... Release the game for the Wii U in February and problem solved.
The issue for me is not Legends going mulitplatform, it's the 7 month delay because of it. From not even being that interested in Rayman, to playing the demo I was instantly sold; the game looked amazing. Now only to hear the publishers want to delay a finished product to appease Microsoft and Sony is too much. I would have been fine with Ubisoft releasing Legends in February and following up with an Playstation, Xbox release on it was finished for those platforms. This has nothing to do ...
I don't agree with the delay for the Wii After playing the demo I was looking forward to buying the game day 1 in February, even though Ihaven't been much of a Rayman fan, but with a 7 month delay I'm pretty sure I'll lose interest by that time.
With development cost on the rise, and companies like THQ possible going under. If the WiiU sales continue to be strong, many companies could see the WiiU as being less risky to develope for depending on how powerful Sony and Microsoft make their consoles. A good example is the 3ds and Vita, the Vita hands down is the more powerful system, but who is developing for it. With increased power comes increased cost of development.
Well the Metroid Prime Trilogy: Collectors Edition was extremely limited.
Whats the deal with Ubisoft not releasing demos in the US, first Rayman now this.
You have the option for split screen, but having two separate screens regardless of size limits the amount of information you have to process and adds to the immersion.
Finally someone who gets it. Capacitive screens are great for my shiny new phone, but when it comes to something my kids handle on a regular basis, having the durability of the resistive screen is a bit more comforting.
Microsoft and I hate to say it Sony, could potentially lose big next generation. The situation in Europe is a foreshadow of what's coming to the US. With Europe dealing with it's economic crisis there's not much money families have to spend on non essentials such as gaming. Yeah Nintendo didn't go hogwild with it's specs, but I feel that was a move to remain somewhat still affordable in case the economy doesn't improve. And with having at least a year ahead of Microsof...
If you had a Wii U you wouldn't of had that problem(2 players, 2 screens)
What an ignorant article. For the record I will never buy am Ipad or Android device to play a Nintendo game or any console game for that matter. One of t he things that makes Nintendo so special is how their software compliments their hardware, which is a concept the"boy genius" can't figure out.
Why? because you think you're the only one who got one for Christmas.
It's a Gamestop exclusive, you should have no problem ordering it from Gamestop.
The Kinnect and Move implementation in Ghost Recon was tacked on crap. Also the Wii Motion Plus solved the accuracy issues. My comment still stands that publishers are not going to want to fund the creation of new ideas.
Pretty good article, but i do disagree with the author on the Wii U. You can print money, but creativity is hard to come by. There are tons of new gameplay innovations that can be had with the Wii u Gamepad, but are risk adverse publishers willing to take it on. Major publishers usually like to go with sure bets and formulas hence the sequels.
Give me another Valkyria Chronicles on a console.
Please take the caps lock off.
Ouch. Fanboys aren't ready for that level of reality check.
The most important factor is just have fun gaming after all its just entertainment.
even though I'm looking forward to the PS4, I'm also concerned. What kind of media will it use, Blu Ray? There was a lot of focus on sharing and connectivity, and instant game downloads, plus the console was not shown. Could this possibly mean they are eliminating disk? I don't know, but what they didn't say is telling.
