MGS4 Act 4: Twin Suns (Shadow Moses). Not only for the graphics, game play and scene. But the return to Shadow Moses. Man, I got goose bumps the very first time I played this. So many memories from many years ago. This is just a small part on why this game is legend to so many including myself.

MGS 4 was THE first game I thought of. Loved seeing SMI again.

Lost in the snowy mountains in FFVII from start to epic snowboard scene was a memorable moment.

For some reason the lack of The Last of Us in this article is lame. That was by far a more thrilling time than even Uncharted.

When I replay TLOU, I do it with a nervous anticipation/fear because of winter. It was SO TENSE. Lol my heart beats out of my chest every time.

Where is Shadow Moses Island from MGS1 and MGS4 or the snow level from TLoU with the snow storm? Also I`m rather certain Silent Hill was not snowing but that it was ash.

Grave3836d ago

I would say UC2 is at the top of that list. I remember it actually making me cold when I played it.

Why Silent Hill Will Never Be the Same

Estelle Mejia says: Silent Hill, for those who don’t know, is a psychological horror survival series that has declined somewhat. Fans point to the fact that the original team who helmed Silent Hill 1-4, named Team Silent, has been split, either working on different games for Konami or leaving the company altogether. This has left the series without a consistent team to helm the series for about 20 years, give or take.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles is peak 2D Sonic for me. Probably my most played Genesis game.

Chocoburger84d ago

No, not a divisive game. The visuals, levels, music, controls were all great. Having to buy Sonic & Knuckles wasn't an issue at all, just more awesome gaming made available to me at the time. I lived through that era, and I don't remember anyone complaining that they had to buy another cartridge just to get the complete game, if you enjoyed Sonic games on the Genesis, you were happy to get another one back then.

The only issue with Sonic 3 is that stupid freakin' horrible "BARREL OF DOOM!" all because Sonic Team didn't properly communicate to the player what to do.

This! This! THIS!!!

The only divisive thing about Sonic 3 was that freaking barrel.

I had 1 & 2, I played 3 at someone else's house. When I heard about S3 & Knuckles I assumed it was the same game with just Knuckles added in and thought it was stupid, until I found out a while later it was much more. I wonder how much more they could've put onto the game carts, I know there were cut levels in some of the games.

is it divisive?

i think its the best 2d sonic.
