Gameplay Today: "First of all, Konami's idealogy is too confusing for any single being to comprehend. Silent Hill is also getting an HD collection, but only on the PS3; odd, given Silent Hill 2 & 4 appeared on the original Xbox. This goes for other companies like Ubisoft releasing the Prince of Persia HD trilogy exclusively on the PS3. On the contrary, Zone of the Enders has never been on a Microsoft platform. Even weirder is that Metal Gear Solid: Peacewalker was a notable Playstation Portable exclusive. Though the original Metal Gear Solid is missing from the HD Collection it's rumored it will be getting it's own treatment; leaving Guns of the Patriots the only MGS title missing from the 360's lineup."
Hideo Kojima is widely known as a video games auteur, but what are his best games outside the Metal Gear franchise?
The sirens are sounding again, beckoning you back to the foggy ghost town as we rank all the Silent Hill games, from the chilling classics to the misguided missteps.
I mostly disagree with Downpour's position. Yeah, the game is not amazing by any stretch of the imagination but is much better than the HD Collection and Homecoming. The main issue is the performance, but that was mitigated by the patches, especially on the PS3. Personally, I put it a little behind Origins and The Room.
Having Restless Dreams as a different entry from Silent Hill 2 is also a choice.
silent hill 2 is definitely the best one out of those.
for me personally, the whole ritual/cult stuff was always so weird to me in all the other games.
No disrespect but I put SH2 over 1. 1 is fantastic, but 2 took it all up a level.
The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection launched in 2011, and is still the best way to play Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater ahead of the remake.
Can’t wait to one day break that game out of the collection vault
Currently playing Snake Eater HD on CRT 16:9, via Scart RGB. Game looks great but not as clean as MGS2, but thats due to the setting. Can't wait for the remake + the next HD collection on PS5.
It's sad to see classics go multiplatform, but for the better if we're being honest with ourselves.
metal gear solid maybe but not metal gear..
see initialy metal gear was a multiplatform title.. hell it even was a dual relationship between microsoft and sony.
metal gear solid 2 i think was on xbox and this will be on xbox again. idc tho..ill never pick it up. never played more that 5 mins of the first one
lol, God of War being published by Sony isn't really the major roadblock. GoW is DEVELOPED by Sony Santa Monica.
My only concern is if they drop quality...
