I saw "shooter" and I thought "shmup." Thoroughly disappointed when
I found out they meant FPS!
Where the ever-loving-crap is Einhander (well, anywhere else but Japan)?
He's right, and Carlos is wrong. This isn't an exploit, nor is it even a workaround - he's just indicating a point of assistance that Square offered. The enemies respawn here more frequently because it's a catch-up point in the game. The next thing you fight is pretty tough, and if you're not ready, you're not moving on.
Therefore, guys often drop Incentive Chips. 2,500 is nothing later on in the game, and starring your first-tier weapons is neither a sure-victory move nor a ...
Thanks! Now, here's what happens in Heavy Rain...
It kinda got at me a bit because it was a "message" episode that wasn't exactly clear on what it was trying to say. Was it implying that sex addiction is male-exclusive and solely based on biology? The most telling part of the episode was when Tiger was speaking at the end, and the scene implied that Elin would sleep around to "get revenge." I don't want to venture too far into this issue, but it skirted the line between "we're just addressing recent news" and...
Somewhere in Australia, Yahtzee just had a sigh of relief.
I'm not usually for just shooing people out of their jobs when they screw up, but this guy made a career out of it. Good riddance. He's better off as a televangelist anyway.
Yes, and that's why I visit them more often also! Demon's Souls deserved all the praise it got.
Yeah. As was stated in the article, Trey and Matt have done this before. Worst comes to worst, they quickly name it "Tiger Woods Pro Golf" or something. They make these episodes with an insanely quick turnover time, so it shouldn't be a problem even if EA gains some ground in a copyright lawsuit.
They got their point across anyway. How does it feel to be the last company standing, releasing yet another Tiger Woods game after this debacle? Actually, even though EA l...
I wish!
Is it just me, or does it really feel like I'm playing Retro Game Challenge when reading that little magazine teaser? Actually, an English version of Game Center CX 2 would be a sequel to one of the best games on DS, but that's probably not it.
...and let's hope it's not Chinatown Wars 2. Not that it's a bad game, but I'm not interested at all.
It's a rough call. Professionals in their field of work are often asked to make decisions that can't be 100% objective. Research people, like me, know that just about nothing can be 100% objective - or 100% anything. At times, decisions will be made on "whims," or the instinctive thought of the professional. Instinctive thought has its advantages - read Gladwell's "Blink" for a nice introduction to it -
My end response is... hahaha? I kinda agree? Maybe he just needs some more work on tone.
I'm sure we harped on this enough, but the PS3 ad isn't about the functionality of Natal. It's a direct response to Molyneux's high-fallutin' talk about controllers being a barrier to gaming in general.
That speech raised all kinds of high-praise articles in non-gaming magazines about how no one needs a controller anymore now that Natal is coming. The ad was for people who follow gaming in a big way - kinda like us.
It's funny to troll around with that kind of announcement, but it's something to both consider and fear. There's no doubt that the 360 version boosted sales, but the cost of doing so hasn't been and won't be released to the public.
If Square decides to port the thing to 360 like XIII, they shouldn't aim for the same release date. There's a reason we didn't see XIII a year before we did, and while SE wouldn't admit it, that drastic change in development definitely pushed the re...
Careful, Redempteur. I like Tri-Ace as much as the next JRPG fan, but your argument doesn't work.
Remember, the Deer Hunter series contains many sequels. That doesn't make it "good," it makes it popular. The "Plural Nounz That End With a Z" series such as Horsez, Catz, etc. has many things you'd call a sequel also.
I hope the game's as good as this blogger says. It's kinda funny that someone cited a blogger with a ranking of "Village Idio...
He has a lot of award stats, and that's cool - it is definitely one of the most critically acclaimed games of all time. However, putting superlatives like "greatest" into the argument kinda throws this blog post-type op article on the fan side.
What makes something the greatest of all time? It's how the game fits whatever you value the most. Some may say Panzer Dragoon Orta, Super Metroid, or yeah, FFXIII, for containing brilliant aesthetic experiences (amazing visua...
That's a hilarious commercial - loved the "catching a red ball" jab and the Tretton photo!
Let's talk about some super-cereal business. They need to work on that Motion Fighter title ASAP. It was just approximating based on a small set of moves at GDC: http://ps3.ign.com/articles...
It's pre-alpha, so I'm sure it'll be much better upon release... but it had better be MUCH bet...
If it's anything like Crisis Core, I will flip my lid. I hope the battle system is something like an improved mashup of CC and KH - more kinetic than Crisis Core, but more stat-driven and deep than KH.
Pray to Alexander that it happens, people!
I'm really happy that a few reviewers finished this game before reviewing it. You can tell by most of the reviews you'll read in the MC or GS rankings that some of these guys didn't have a clue what happened past Chapter 2. At least Sterling got to (spoiler).
Basically, fans of FF will buy this game, and this game resonates really well with the fans. You can tell from the reviews who likes this type of game and who got stuck reviewing it instead of GOWIII and was a bit pissed...
Dude, he didn't "become unemployed." The key here is "laid off," which means that he was working under contract, had his plans set, and a company let him go because he was too pricey to keep around. It's a bit different than either being fired or quitting a job.
It's different in a good way because he's probably getting a severance package that will allow him to make a transition into a new job without going completely broke. He's probably not doing unemplo...

That-a-way, please. Actually, they're making more sense over there, so never mind.
Yeah, Sony's making a "Wii Too" alright, but they transcribed it wrong. They're making a Wii 2, since Nintendo doesn't seem to care to make any new tech right now.
Maybe they're just keeping it secret. Who knows.
