Waaaaaaaaay too far away. I was expecting this at least in the first half of the year. With this so far off and The last guardian missing in action I really don't know what I have to look forward to in gaming for most of the year. I don't want to have to go get a life.

This is pretty good but do we even have a vague release date for this yet? I mean, any idea of the month it releases even?

Edit-Duh, it's the first link under this story. My bad.

Bioshock 2 is in the same boat as Fallout New Vegas for me. On paper it looks like it should be the far better game, it makes a ton of improvements over the original but it just misses the point of what made it's predecessor so great.

Like Fallout New Vegas took a desolate sepia toned atmospheric world and turned it into a wacky densely populated technicolor playpen, Bioshock 2 took a game based around the feeling of being trapped, helpless, weak and scared and replaced it w...

The author has a point, when we're talking about new franchises or one off stories, it's completely up to the creators what content they want to consider part of the main experience and what they want to release as an extra.

When we're talking about a game like Mass effect 3 however, while they still have the 'right' to do it, it's not a nice thing to do. It feels like they know many people have been hooked into the story by the first two games and are ex...

That's exactly what I had to do to get The Metal gear solid HD collection after Game didn't have it, and this is after I'd gone in there to buy the Jak and Daxter collection which they also didn't have.

Good. Bieber's lawyers really are trying to deny the creators of this game their legal right to parody and I can't see any way even the most high priced fancypants lawyer could convincingly argue otherwise. This is clearly an open and shut case, if the creators of this game are American citizens they have a right to parody anybody or anything they desire with or without the consent of their subject. I say that as someone who has studied this legal issue thoroughly by watching a whole ...

I wasn't loving the list until I saw Blood omen - Legacy of Kain. Ah, the memories. That game was probably my first experience with epic storytelling in videogames and is probably the first large rpg story based game that I didn't quit halfway through. I never thought of it as a Zelda imitator, I'm sure it would be if I went back and played it now but at the time there was nothing better for me than feeding on villagers or trying out my cool new vampire powers. My other main memor...

Damn, that probably means they're still not gonna have it in my local Game store. You used to be able to find anything in Game stores, now if it isn't COD or an Angry birds cuddly toy they've never even heard of it. I asked one of their employees if they had a copy of this collection and he told me it had only been released for the 'handheld one'. Anyway that's a rant for another time, thanks for the info.

No problem. I actually felt like I'd been a bit arrogant there handing out writing tips like I'm Chuck Palahniuk or something but I'm glad to see you took it well.

I found this game to be pure enjoyment from start to finish. I felt the combat, while not particularly challenging, was still incredibly enjoyable and varied enough once flashlight carrying enemies and enemies with disarming whips were added to the mix. I loved the chance the creators took following up such a gritty dark game with such a bright vibrant colour scheme, I believe it was a chance that really paid off. Still, I'd probably give the game an 8.5 at the most due to the ridiculously...

It's not that the enemies are so tough or anything, the reason people talk about it's difficulty is the same reason I haven't played it in months even though I really liked it and hadn't even nearly completed it all, it's the investment of time it demands. You can play for hours, battling through all kinds of Demons and monsters and then just by screwing up once you can send yourself right back to where you started playing.

That's where the frustration co...

Wait... I thought this came out last week in the UK? I went looking all over for it the other day and had to give in and buy the Metal gear solid collection instead (although that's hardly such a bad thing since I'm enjoying it a lot so far). I might just go pick this up tomorrow too.

How the hell did I miss this story?? I've been watching BBC News 24 all day. Yes, that's a rhetorical question, we all know it's because the mainstream media can't handle the reality of Pikachu cat.

Since you're not pathetic enough to complain about this kind of thing I wonder if you'd mind paying me five dollars a day not to fart on a bit of every meal you eat from now on? I'll just assume it's a yes but if you have a problem with our arrangement you could always just eat around the parts I fart on. It's not like you're starving.

Madden Monopoly? Sounds good, I love boardgames.

I thought this game looked painfully generic when I first saw it but the more I saw the better it looked. That's probably partly due to me finding out it's made by the same people who made the first Darkness. I still can't bring myself to pick it up at launch though simply because I played Deus ex HR too recently and while I loved that game it just gave me my fill of this kind of thing, I'm gonna have to wait until my Deus ex experience wears off a little more to buy this one ...

Sigh... ....Alan Wake's American Nightmare is a downloadable sequel/spinoff to the previously released horror adventure title Alan Wake. Honestly, gaming journalists are just getting so damn lazy. We're supposed to be asking them.

As much as It'd send me into a psychotic rage I have to admit that it would be funny if they wound up releasing a two hour episode with the same exact graphics and gameplay, almost no story development and a huge cliffhanger ending. Maybe the credits would roll over a smirking trollface image. I'd have to kill them all obviously, but I'd appreciate the joke.

I'm toying with the idea of picking up the collection even though I never really got into MGS4. The only other game in the series I played was the PSX Metal gear solid which I really liked at the time but MGS4 just never really grabbed me, I found the characters far too cheesy and adolescent and found the stealth more than a little clunky. The games in this collection don't look too different but there's gotta be something I'm missing that makes you fall in love with these gam...

Ps. Yes, I do deserve disagrees for that I know. I love Gabe, I just couldn't resist the allure of the bad joke.
