Then they should release a mini-pc complete with Windows 3.1, MSDOS, Solitaire, and flying toasters...

All this criticism on Sony and they're about to make bank on more hardware that people will buy. If MS was so brilliant about knowing what their customers want, maybe they wouldn't be getting outsold 3 to 1 in the marketplace.

MS and their cheeky jokes... Xbox wasn't even around during the PS1 era. It's like me as an American comparing our historical landmarks to European castles.

These things are like Father's day gifts. They'll get played for a few hours and put in the closet. I don't think of this as Sony's new strategy to backwards compatibility, but more like a novelty gift.

I finally sold mine but would definitely come back if Sony came out with a new one. Not enough of us out there to make it worth their $ i guess...

Agreed - PS+ would make the game effectively free and might kick start the PS4 community. While i don't personally hold a grudge, i wonder if Sony would not even offer them that option given their allegiance to MS. Kinda mafioso-ish but some at Sony may see it as making an example of them.

That would make for another strong month. If it's true, it would be hard to deny they've upped their game on freebies...

Not that it matters but if we're going to generalize PS4 vs. Xbox it should be base models as most people have those. The pro and x are a minority of the install base

Crackdown

Lol, can't I'm as angry as you are about it, but I don't understand why they wouldn't at least have a few developers constantly enhancing the firmware. They were good earlier in the PS4 lifecycle with adding features but seems like they're nearing completion now. Maybe those guys are already working on the firmware for the next PlayStation?

You gotta admit, though, that ratings for big games are not REALLY on a 10 point scale. A 7 is like getting a C in school, and for a good game, a 7 is a slap in the face

There's no real evidence they're backing down from that commitment going forward. Only time will tell, but so far they've been true to their word on this.

Agreed. Given all the third party shooters I wonder if the bigger gap is in the open world racing (Forza horizon) genre. Dunno, I don't really go for those games, but it seems popular and doesn't seem to have many third party contenders that are really good. Would be hard to dethrone Playground though, and honestly I'D rather have a shooter, but hey

Or a new SOCOM that also lets VR players play with non-VR players.

Dude, sybamumf, 'cause us consumers are like sheep and we need to be protected by the big and benevolent governments of the world. Gaming needs to be regulated like water and electricity, because Fortnite has shown us that we can't survive without it. And we don't have freedom of choice since Spiderman went exclusive, so it's not like we could just get upset with Sony and stop doing business with them. Whatever will we do to stop the evil Sony from taking advantage of our poor...

If you're bigger than this article, don't comment on it 😉

It's so hard to know what to "trust". Are there any reviewers that don't receive advertising, early review copies, or interviews from game publishers that you can say are not likely to be swayed? And then the reviewer themselves have to frame their opinion objectively so that they're not just telling you what they personally like in a game. That's why the metacritic score is helpful...can't count on just one company it seems...

Seems like a shadow of it's former self...

Right... FWIW, Gamespot is one of the lowest scores out there for this game at the moment. It's probably not THAT bad.
