Pointless things like kicking a ball into a net or hitting balls back and forth until someone makes a mistake? I kinda enjoy this competition... It's more interesting than watching a football game to me but to each their own.
The gap between Xbox and PS4 sales doubled in just a year.
Whaaa? And Lenovo will create another Windows Mixed Reality headset to add to the pile? I don't get it..
I hate that i played the hell out of it the first time, because I wish I'd be experiencing it the first time in VR. I've heard that one NPC's gruff voice too many times and it now grates on me lol. I will be getting back to it in VR after I catch up with some other games though. BTW, about the syrup, after playing FWZH I played BF1 for a bit and was irritated that I couldn't turn my head quickly while running into a skirmish. battlefield in VR would be amazing
How do you know this?
I think those might lead to arguments to pick up the next Xbox gen console, when some good games might come out of those acquisitions.
Agreed. You can knock the horespower of the Pro, but you can't knock the timing and the price. If Sony puts out a PS5 next year I'd be kicking myself for buying a new X
Speaking for myself, 1080p mattered when I had a 1080p projector, and now that I have a 4k projector, 4k matters. It doesn't matter enough for me to switch over to an XB1X (not a fan of MS at the moment), but it matters.
Size of screen, distance from screen, eyesight, expectations, and personal attentiveness all goes into whether someone would notice the difference. That should be obvious to the jokers that are challenging your opinion.
Wow, how insightful... Going way out on a limb there
I think the winning solution in this space will need to be more of a packaged solution like the Switch where the controllers and main unit are designed to work together. Apple or Google could pull this off, but there's lots to do with the OS to make it serviceable as a real gaming platform. This is one of the places MS's failure on MS Mobile is going to hurt them. If/when Apple and Google build this, they won't want to let MS (or Sony) inject their streaming solution because it pu...
And of course make sure to get the Aim controller with it.
From the earnings call: "Whether it’s first-party games or third-party games, we are best-in-class in that monetization and that’s what’s reflected in the results.". It's hard to take anything they say seriously after statements like that.
Great game. Gonna check out the update tonight.
What kinda company do you work for, out of curiosity?
I've come to the conclusion that people that don't like VR are categorically incapable of enjoying themselves and lead unsatisfying and loveless, lonely lives.
And this is only a year after Xbox shot its load with the X. I suspect it will be a while before they'll have anything but price reduction to get people excited. On the PS side there are still some major exclusives coming, and maybe even a PS5 announcement next year. By the time XB2 or whatever comes out, these numbers could be a lot worse
Don't know for sure, but usually it's executives on the behalf of shareholders. Gotta keep that revenue flowing. I'm pre-ordered already so they've got my $ one way or another
I didn't realize Firestorm wasn't available at launch... Not sure they were really clear about that earlier...
I personally don't think so. Every console iteration results in increased cost for platform holders and game developers and makes the landscape more complicated for console gamers that for the most part want things simple. So Sony/MS really want to stretch out the cycles as long as possible until customers or competition drives them to upgrade. The rest of the userbase isn't as hyper sensitive to resolution and such as we are, and don't necessarily want new consoles every year to ...
