I think GamingBolt is the Hellpoint developer's personal blog
There are a few non PS4 holdouts that need to still be liberated. ;-)
You calling a GamingBolt article news is very generous of you.
It's a new carsole
Take the high road...if you don't have something nice to say... start the year off right 😊
Extra coding to mirror the game state on another PS4 and transition. Probably didn't get prioritized in getting the game out the door in time...
Detroit was rated 78 by critics and 87 by users. I'd say it was underrated. IMO one of the best games I've played this year.
Crappy GamingBolt articles all look the same, Says blackblades developer.
I agree. I think the more likely (and less dramatic) impact we'll see in the next gen is the continuation of trying to eliminate / marginalize physical media. Killing off the used game sales and rental industry is a quick way for these guys to boost profits, and if they do it gradually enough, consumers won't revolt...
The perceived advantage of hybrid streaming / local rendering is missing a key element - it complicates the game significantly for little benefit to the game company, especially while streaming is in it's infancy. I don't think that's going anywhere soon... It's all streaming like all the other services, or nothing, at least for the foreseeable future.
I'm also a little surprised to see this from IGN.
I don't think we should discount the possibility that the author isn't being paid, he's just an idiot.
Reworked to include the soon to be released streaming discless console? Place your bets...
They're "poised" to dominate, like in the pre-fight photo shoots. A little Photoshop should cover those bruises nicely...
Because they can't make any more mistakes (they already used them all up), they have a charismatic exec that projects every strategy he has years before execution, and they're going to rock the gaming world by releasing Xbox Now - they call it "streaming". They bought all these little studios that will crush the competition by adding extra A's to AAA. And with the full weight of Microsoft behind them, Xbox will be as well liked as other beloved MS products like Microsoft...
I think the scope kept growing and growing as they continued to build it out, based on some if the videos they posted. I think they stuck to their vision, but kept making it better and more comprehensive. They expected a beta last year same time and just kept working on it instead. Rare that the execs didn't step in and force a release for cash flow reasons. Hats off to them, hope it pans out in the end.
It's supposed to be more than a game its also a creation tool. Apparently you'll have the ability to export resources for use in Unity and other game engines. It's kinda hard to classify it singularly.
I'm guessing not all in the same year. Discless streaming box one year, full powered console next...
Dat smile tho
Next gen consoles will not need fans because they'll be streaming from servers disguised as space heaters running in Siberia.
