I guess I'd find that more enticing than a separate subscription just for EA.
Seems like they're talking going mobile, I assume via streaming. I don't think they're talking about releasing Xbox games on other consoles, right?
Bets on Xbox Games being next?
How about same power, smaller size?
I agree, and I think Sony and Nintendo would block such attempts. Where we've seen exceptions are where the game publishers have immense leverage over the platform holders. Fortnite and Minecrafts of the world. What are you going to do, not have Fortnite on your platform? So platform holders make exceptions. I bet MS and Sony were reluctant to let Ubisoft have their own trophies in game and EA have their own logins, but those companies have leverage and it's no big deal today. But MS ...
Amazing how many people blow this out of proportion and actually believe MS could pull off these incredible feats.
Hate is a strong word. I'd go with unimpressed
Nintendo, iOS, etc. don't want their customers seeing Xbox logos and on their platforms period. The purpose of the platform is to have a captive audience that channels through your services, not let your competition disintermediate you. I can't see this going anywhere.
They want to supersede just the Xbox consoles but they won't succeed. They can't even win over the PC and they own that platform. They keep trying to sink their talons in with the OS upgrades and PC gamers keep disabling it.
I don't mean to be negative, but this is more delusional thinking from MS. The only reason they had leverage to get Xbox Live anywhere near the Switch is Minecraft. No other platform is going to want Xbox intermediating their customers. It's not a big deal that MS will make their APIs available to everyone because no one will want them.
That's a shame. 1 and 2 were really good games.
The core business and what drives consumers isn't changing. As long as there are people influenced by "play it first on X" ads, this will continue...
Why do you think things will change? These are marketing decisions and have nothing to do with technology or "gen".
Does anyone really care about a few weeks? Those little marketing gimmicks seem largely inconsequential to me...
All I'm saying is that they could do better with some more exciting marketing. MS is doing something right when it cones to getting people/press talking about their stuff...
That's good to hear. They obviously put a lot of work into taking the lead on that space a long time ago, but didn't seem to capitalize on it. Can't help but think they could use just a little of that MS hype-y advertising to get more people engaged.
I think PSNow needs a "social media marketing team". Only place I hear about updates for PSNow is the PlayStation Blog...
Yup, VR is where we can see the greatest improvements cause the resolution/scale is so constrained right now.
...by going on diets...
I'd be excited about that! After all the talk that Titanfall was finished? Did Respawn troll us?
