From the earnings call: "Whether it’s first-party games or third-party games, we are best-in-class in that monetization and that’s what’s reflected in the results.". It's hard to take anything they say seriously after statements like that.

Great game. Gonna check out the update tonight.

What kinda company do you work for, out of curiosity?

I've come to the conclusion that people that don't like VR are categorically incapable of enjoying themselves and lead unsatisfying and loveless, lonely lives.

And this is only a year after Xbox shot its load with the X. I suspect it will be a while before they'll have anything but price reduction to get people excited. On the PS side there are still some major exclusives coming, and maybe even a PS5 announcement next year. By the time XB2 or whatever comes out, these numbers could be a lot worse

Don't know for sure, but usually it's executives on the behalf of shareholders. Gotta keep that revenue flowing. I'm pre-ordered already so they've got my $ one way or another

I didn't realize Firestorm wasn't available at launch... Not sure they were really clear about that earlier...

Remember the original PC version of Carmaggedon? Iron Maiden playing in the background while plowing over pedestrians. Wouldn't go over too well in today's sensitive environment lol

I heard good things about that. I also enjoyed PlanetSide 2 a lot. Doesn't have destructive environments, but the scale of the maps and number of players is huge.

No other games on console quite like Battlefield (and SWBF) though when you take into account the number of players, map size, vehicles, and destruction. For people that appreciate the mahem, few choices other than to stick with the older Battlefield games.

If PS5 doesn't have VR than I'll agree with the prophets here that claim VR is dead. Sony has definitely been leading the charge here. And people need to remember that handheld consoles are dead as well...except for that one little innovative company...

Darn I thought that said IRON Maiden

Yes, Facebook has instructed their team to renumber the version from 2 to 3 instesd of just taking longer to release 2. That won't confuse anyone And that is just like the brilliant move MS did with Hololens to wait until other companies establish themselves as leaders before entering the market. Because that approach is working out so well with tablets and phones. I'm sure the next Hololens will release next year.

Yes, they're denying it...

Doing this with RDR2 specifically to undermine Sony's exclusive marketing deal? Seems low and desperate to me. Do you see Sony stooping to these tricks with games that MS is promoting like BF5? MS marketing continues to act like slimy greaseballs every chance they get. No class.

For people to get comfortable with the new leader of the EU, they're just going to have to start forgetting about all that N business...
They already had to have that version for the German version of the game, they probably just figured it would be easier to maintain one version.

I don't get the sense that folks that are interested in the JRPGs and such would be swayed to Xbox based on one or two studios. Dunno, that seems like a market that will take major investment before MS gets a payoff because they're SO far behind. I'd think they'd be better off focusing on winning more in the western markets where they have a chance. Just my opinion...

@gumby, you're right, it's an assumption, and I think it's probably right because the cost of building an iOS client is small compared to the infrastructure cost they incurred to create the service. And I'm sorry but I'm going to weigh my experience using my phone higher than what MS "publically stated" lol. You're not getting a good streaming experience on your phone with 4g regardless of streaming tech because of inherent latency and consistency. Articles l...

I actually liked Killzone's MP, the weighty feel is a nice departure from the standard COD speed. And it feels more team/objective oriented. Guerilla may want to try replicating Epic's focus on marketing, frequent updates, and community to get people behind it.
