And w/ reason. I would be too if I shelled out that much to do everything that a PC that costs half as much can do. Or the fact that I can get build a great gaming rig for the cost of an Apple tower. The cost/benefit of macs compared to PC's is horrible.
Mac OS = Linux for dumb (or rich/snobby) people
I can't think of a single use that I would rather have a Mac than a PC/Linux.
I think a lot of people are waiting to get a PS3 until GTA comes out (now hear me out before you go stealing my bubbles ;).
If you're planning on getting the 360 version, why wait? A possible price drop (if you know about the rumor you probably already have it...)? It's the only game you like (not probable, most people at least like 'one' other franchise)?
From what I can see if you want the 360 version you would get an arcade or pro system now, play the great game...
Lost two a couple of days ago for what seemed to be no reason. Well I usually agree w/ you so bubbles for you sir.
when it came out originally. My friend had a blue so I got the red. There were like 5 of us that played and we were pretty normal kids (most of us were into skating at the time). Although it was geared towards kids, it was a good game w/ a decent story w/ lots to do. I loved it!
You can't deny the use of gift cards, or have expiration dates on gift cards. The reason is that you have already paid money for 'future' goods and services. Just because you paid for them in small amounts does not deny you the right of using them for said goods and services.
If you want hi-def, you have to look to BR. If not, DVD is fine. They aren't in that much direct competition right now. As the hi-def market grows DVD's will slowly only be for old movies and new movies will be on BR. Fact is though that the BR market isn't going to get smaller and the DVD market isn't going to get bigger so IMO there's going to be a natural progression.
I like the circle jerk of 360 'price drop' and 'supply' articles. This is just as bad as the week that Toshiba announced discontinuing HD-DVD players.
Supply issues were going on a month ago (beginning of Feb, a short month), true, but lets say supply issues were true a month ago and there is little to no supply at M$ and most of the store's were sold out. They have now had a month to fulfill orders to the stores, while also keeping up w/ demand, but also trying to keep some stored for themselves getting ready for extra demand for a price cut. I just don't think that if supply issues were that bad that it would take longer than just over ...
Or Uncharted or Ratchet & Clank, two of the best looking games ever released on a console...
"set the bar and be labeled as the best looking games for the following 1-2 years..."
Man, I would really like to see a screen shot or demo or trailer or anything regarding the obvious shoe-in for GOTY...
Because people like you are going to be selling their sixaxis controllers on CL & ebay for so cheap that I'll finally be able to stock pile. Personally, I was glad they got rid of rumble (it was cool in 1997 though) and now that everyone else has a preference FOR it, I can get a ton of non-rumble controllers for CHEAP.
This game is awesome. I haven't dabbled in the online as much, but I do own it and is a great game to pick up and play for 20-30 min. The mods add a great touch too since I love TPS's.
But... what happened to the supply issues? Why create demand NOW for a game released in months when demand is already higher than supply?
If there are hardware (supply) shortages, then why in the world would you drop the price to increase demand?
Is that a price cut at this point is ridiculous. What would you say if the Wii had a price cut? Unnecessary right? Well if the 360 cannot supply enough for the demand now, why generate more demand?
Another point is why do this now if you're already having supply issues?
Why are they doing this? The last 2 months have had supply issues, what would dropping the price accomplish except more supply issues...
If they are having supply issues why do they need a price cut now?
This game is not going to be a system seller at first. At first it will be a somewhat niche game I think. But as time goes on I think more and more people are going to get it and I think it will be a 'future' system seller. A game that will continuously sell, not blow its wad the first week and sputter the rest out over 3 mos. Obviously IMO ;()
