Live is good, but there isn't any reason to just spout lies as facts. The PS3 online userbase is growing FAR faster than the 360 userbase and has been for the entire year.
Pretty boring, but who needs anything else when your console flies off the shelves like it is.

These installs are a joke too. So you can EITHER play it from the HDD (that you have to insert a disc anyway) OR play it from the disc. It is still streamlining info from only one source and the only slight improvement that it might get is from faster reads from a HDD.

Then you say it is a clearance sale (which it is). Plus, Sony didn't pull anything out of the 60GB model. They stopped producing it and put out another product that the consumers want.

Seriously, ask yourself why they really need to do this.
With DL content there is absolutely no reason for a sequel to this game right now. They are doing this so they can stop releasing DLC for Rock Band and only release it for Rock Band 2. So when your favorite song finally gets released you first have to go pick up RB2 and then pay for the DLC.
Its because you download the installer, not the game. It's so the download is quicker. Extremely minor inconvenience IMO.
What does that have to do w/ anything? If you're so good w/ your 360 why are you trolling PS3 threads?
Just calm down there sonny... They never said it was a bad machine. It's got good games and a loyal fanbase. That being said, it sold well its first year, less its second, and isn't keeping pace this year. That is losing steam.

Anyway, I think those games are system sellers. I bought a 360 when Halo 3 came out because until Halo came out nothing on the 360 really peaked my interest. The same goes for MGS and GTA for many people I know (360 & PS3). And while your argument that they can't sell systems for a long period of time is true, these titles did spike system sales, which would mean to me that people bought the system f...
But a blu-ray disc has upwards of 50GB of data compared to ~10 on a standard DVD. Just on size alone you can see that the more data on a disc the longer it will take to find that data.
Think of it like this...
You have a file you want to find. In a file cabinet w/ a single drawer it wouldn't take very long to find. In a file cabinet w/ 500 drawers it would take significantly longer.
I personally hate (absolutely hate) private voice chat. It's on the 360 and is one of the reasons I don't play on live anymore. You join a team game where your team consists of private chats so you can't communicate w/ your teammates... Might as well not have mics. I also had a couple times where I only heard one half of the conversation. It was incredibly annoying.
Why not use mics for what they are used for (communicating w/ teammates) and PHONES for what they are inten...
And when it happens a second, or third time (how many times do you get to download the game?), or if you want to bring it over to a friends, or trade it w/ a buddy once you both finish it?
Unless all of these issues are solved I would MUCH rather have a disc.

All those 'online' features have been available on the 360, but what were you missing that you needed from a FREE service? I was able to get online, join a game, play against human opponents and have a great time since day 1. Isn't that what its really about? Not saying these features aren't nice, but it really doesn't affect anything regarding the core functionality of online play, that is playing a game not against computer AI, but against human opponents.

Because a 'trigger' is a point at which something is engaged. A button press is much better for this than a 'trigger' button w/ a range in which the trigger actually fires at some point between not pulled and fully pulled. If it's actually fully pulled you would be able to shoot faster w/ a simple button than a 360 type trigger where you would need to pull and release for each shot (think a pistol).
Comparing Lego Freaking Indiana Jones... Who the F@ck cares? I can't believe some of the stuff on here. The differences are not noticible (unless you are a fanboy), it will have almost no impact on sales (also only matters to fanboys), has no impact on gameplay or the fact that it is a mediocre game at best.
