Where To Find the Car Crash Site Near the Observatory in Warzone 2 DMZ

Players fighting on the Himmelmatt Map in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 is in full swing, meaning players have had time to start finishing the DMZ missions before the season ends. Some are simple and direct, having players kill a certain number of enemies with a specific weapon, but others are anything but. The mission that seems to be giving many players headaches is the Break Check mission.

The Break Check mission requires players to find and extract a hard drive from a car crash site near Zaya observatory, and then deposit it at the Waterways Dead Drop Dumpster on Ashika Island. However, the game is not very clear as to where the crashed vehicle is, leading to a good amount of confusion for many players. This guide will show players just where the crashed vehicle is, so players can keep on their mission grind with minimal fuss.

Where Is the Car Crash Site Located in Call of Duty Warzone 2?

The car crash site can be found south of the Zara Observatory on a dirt road, located at the map marker shown below:

The easiest way to reach the location is to take the main roadway past Ahkdar Village, pulling onto the dirt road when possible. Coming from the other direction is incredibly difficult, as Zaya Observatory tends to have a large enemy presence. Players can also take some ropes up to the location on the West side of the mountain.

Where Is the Hard Drive Located in the Car Crash Site in Warzone 2?

Players approaching the vehicle from the South side will see the hard drive first. It is located underneath the front of the car, beneath the overturned windshield, as seen in the image below:

Once a player has grabbed the hard drive from the car crash site they simply need to extract. Dying will result in the loss of the hard drive, so players looking to complete this mission should prioritize their safety over anything else.
