To aid in the fight against Automatons, the Helldivers 2 devs have unleashed some new weapons. Let’s see what they are and how to get them.

The developers of Helldivers 2 continue to surprise players with sneaky updates. Usually, they announce improvements ahead of time, but sometimes they like to keep players in the dark. That is how we got Shriekers. And now, with the Automaton offensive underway, two new weapons have been unleashed by the devs to Helldivers 2. So, let’s see what they are and how can you get them.

Helldivers 2: New Weapons Arrive to Aid the Fight Against Automatons

On March 28, Super Earth’s Ministry of Defense revealed two new weapons, to aid in the fight against the Automatons. That is not to say that these new weapons will not find their use against the Terminids.

These new weapons are Support Weapons, and you can get them by purchasing them like any other Stratagem, via your Ship Management terminal.

MG-101 Heavy Machine Gun

We have a mid-range Machine Gun and a lighter Stalwart variant, but now is the time to bring out the big guns. MG-101 Heavy Machine Gun is a high-caliber machine gun, able to punch holes in virtually any but the toughest armor. It deals incredible damage and has very high recoil, so consider taking armor that reduces weapon recoil while crouching or prone.

You can get your hands on the MG-101 Heavy Machine Gun for 6000 Recquisiton, and you can find it under the Patriotic Administration Center subsection.

LAS-99 Quasar Cannon

The newest laser Cannon costs 7500 Recquisiton to purchase, and you can find it under the Engineering Bay subsection. From what we have gathered, it is an anti-tank energy-based weapon.

It does not have ammo, as expected, but has to be cooled down after every shot. It is capable of destroying armor, so we think it will prove an invaluable asset for all Helldivers.
