Er... I think you can stream Divx on the 360 if this helps for you..

Looks good for the PS3 though, I find this sort of stuff very useful on my home network.

really! I'm sorry but It looks gimmicky to say the least, I'll hold my full judgement until I have seen it going properly, but if I really wanted the sims I would buy it. I don't know who agrees with me but..sometimes little is better. Put a game in console ...look for friends in list .....invite friends.... and then kick ass whilst having a good old chat!

I don't want microsoft to ever consider the virtual world thing for live, allthough it looks fun I would rather have fast and simple. Game in console....look for mates... invite mates ..... play!. looking forward to the new games.

I think you shall find that the fundamental thing that makes live great is the games and the ease of friends interaction, the things you mentioned like movie downloads etc, are just the nice extra's. It's not centered around media primarily. I just want to press a button and go..nice and simple! Home looks good though, Sims PS3 style.

until you mentioned universal being weak! that I have to say is slightly unfair.

You keep repeating that HD DVD has not got Hollywood support and that simply is not true, I hardly think that support from WB, Paramount and Universal constitutes as no support! Blu ray has studios in bed with sony such as disney and fox which is obviously an advantage but that still does not stop the fact that HD DVD owners have some great films from universals huge catologue that are not available on blu ray. Have you been keeping an eye on the ratios over the last week? they have swung bac...

look, I know blu-ray has more support but... It's not like Hd dvd has non at all, It really does my head in when people say that. Universal are not a small dumb company you know! and yes the ratio of blu ray players out there in the form of Ps3's compared to Hd Dvd players is huge but compare that to how many blu-ray discs sold per machine to Hd dvd's sold per machine and the results are interesting.

Really enjoying crackdown at the moment and the GOW weekend sessions with my best mate and my brother, I talk to my mates and my brother more than ever since we all got on xbox live. It's loads of fun and i'll play as much as I can without bothering the other half and duties/work

Two of those titles are universal just incase you did'nt know, universal do not support Blu-ray at the moment.

So why don't sony tell people that instead of insulting us with stupid comments. I think that would be a better course of action don't you agree?

If we had a poll to see who would like rumble and who would like tilt control the results would be interesting, however if we could add to that poll who would prefer rumble and tilt combined in a controller we all would clearly know the end result, which brings me to this...Why does it not have both, It's possible and it has been done on the wii, and here lies the problem. The problem is that it has not got rumble included and we are told by Sony that it does not need it because it is a past ...

But....Why are blu ray releases not better then, just the same or worse on old releases with slightly worse interactivety proved usually if you read reviews of films for both formats like me. sad I know. HD DVD's not out of the ring yet, we shall see what happens later this year with HD DVD players expecting to reach more approachable selling prices for the average consumer before Blu-ray. As for the more movie studio comments, yes that is true but not as bigger problem as people make out as ...

Sony ccd chips are the reason why my fujifilm f700 is going in for repair, thanks a bunch sony, hope they don't have a massive recall on their new chips like the one they sold fuji to go in my camera. not a happy bunny.

Actually HD DVD uses IHD for the interactive features which is easier to impliment than Java, this is why blu ray movies do not offer as good interactive experiences as HD DVD at the moment. Plus read the reviews of the films side by side and i'll bet you that HD DVD will come out on top or even in scores, never below.

Here's an interesting but long article (be warned)

Bought it for £129 in the uk and have not looked back, the quality is amazing and I am really happy with it. The two best quality movies I have bought for it are universal movies funnily enough. I can't afford a blu ray player, so it's ideal as I already bought a 360 a year ago.

I waited years to have rumble in a joypad, I'd be peeved If I lost it. It is a huge bonus to games and your intergration with a game no matter what anyone says, that's why wii does both!

I got a new 360 out of warranty and it cost nothing, brilliant and quick service!

According to other sources JB hifi did not say this but do still regard BLU-RAY as the winning format, here's a quote from scott browning "Consumers don't give a rat's arse about products. They are more about buying an experience and Blu Ray delivers that" he said.

He did say however, that JB HiFi will still offer the HD DVD add on drive for Xbox 360, but said the "HD DVD drive in the Xbox 360 is an afterthought and will not work like the integrated Blu-ray drive...

Blu ray surpasses hd dvd in such a short amount of time and they claim victory! what rubbish, I've been following the sales of both formats closley and things are a lot closer between the two than the blu-ray foundation would have you know. in the last 2 weeks after january with a few new releases on hd dvd, hd dvd was back on a par for a short while and the ratio at the moment is not as big as it was in january, now for the amount of blu-ray players out there blu-ray should be doing a lot be...
