Not an issue for me, I'm fine with Sky HD and the HD movie downloads from xbox live, I really will not buy Blu until disc prices come down and the profile 2 players become widley available and cheaper too! I just can't justify the cost of the movies, daylight robbery!
It's called Karma and Frankly SONY deserve every bit of it, shame it won't last, in the eyes of many... Sony can never do wrong no matter what! Go nintendo!
I correct you, Sony is the company that started the exclusive deals back in the days of sega saturn and the PS1,they bought third party developers and gained timed exclusives which essentially killed Sega, I remember it very well, this is one of the reasons I like Microsoft because they are trying to play Sony at their own game and have the money which sega unfortunatley did not. Sony may offer some innovative products but they are a ruthless company and deserve no respect and this is just an...
Don't take this the wrong way, but....this is history repeating itself but in reverse. I remember clearly when Sony entered the console war against Sega and nintendo with the PS1,Sony did not get to where it was through innovation ( The sega saturn was a technically superior machine on paper) but through buying exclusives, timed exclusives and just being the well known and respected brand SONY. I still remember when Tomb raider was released, It was groundbreaking at the time and Sony bought th...
The site is just not fun anymore, there is way too much biased towards Sony for me to take N4G as a reputable site anymore. Sorry!
Sorry but everything about HD DVD was better for watching movies other than disc space. Codecs initally were better, PIP support with dual decoders, Supporting an internet connection, time line etc, all working right from day of release...the same cannot be said of Blu ray, sure it will get there in the end and is.... but getting prices down low enough to go to mass market ( for movies) will take longer on Blu-ray than it would of for HD DVD.
Totally agree with you, the economy is fragile all over the western world and it's not doing Blu ray any favors, this is why HD DVD was so good, It used existing DVD manufacturing to take movies into the HD arena cheaper and it was becoming more and more affordable for everyday people, It was poised to be taken up by the masses and I personally feel it was close to getting there, and then boom.....the warner move, the rest is history. Blu ray needs to be cheaper to make it viable to the masse...
Looking forward to this game, I'll be getting the 360 version as I don't own the PS3, However, I don't associate Gta with Sonys machine but the PC actually, the PC was my medium to the very first gta and it rocked.
consoles are not pc's and should not require the user to initially download 5gb to the hard drive to play a game, it's unheard of and sends alarm bells ringing in my my mind.
when I buy a console I want to fill the hard drive with movies, music or downloaded games, I would not expect and would be dissapointed to have that space filled with data just so I can play games that other consoles play right off the disc! with no real performance difference!
Yes, but I am talking about consoles as stated in my previous comment, not PC's.
I would like to know why you have to wait 22 mins to install the game in the first place? that's unheard of on a console
Thank-you, very mature answer, now who looks like the loser. Oh by the way I don't own beowolf nor do you know me like you seem to suggest!
Tell me what's underhanded about it because I disagree with you. The 360 has been out now for while now, so going from past console manufacture cycles we are due a new console in late 2008-2009. nothing has changed and as passionate gamer I would like to move on with the latest technology and not be stuck back in 2005 for the next 7 years, people like to change their mobile phone on a regular basis and PC's are already outpacing the 360 and the PS3 in most areas. Nothing has changed and it ne...
As an HD DVD owner I can safely say that until Blu-ray incorporates all the extra features that HD DVD has now done for ages then I shall not support Blu-ray, So I'm gonna have to wait until the end of 2008 until BD live is released until I consider buying into Blu-ray, Even then I shall be back to what I have now, That sucks!!, I wish all the studios supported all the formats from the beginning and I feel like taking legal action over the whole DVD forum debacle, HD DVD was the chosen format...
I have one more thing that they could have added - A PS3 can educate you in the ways of patience!
The so called pay-off was paramount/dreamworks so your argument is unfounded, This is Universal. The bulk of Blu-ray sales are fueled by PS3 owners and for the movie industry games consoles alone are not going to secure the future major bulk sales for the next generation movie format, hence why attachment rates per player on HD DVD are nearly four-fold. The whole Blu-ray interactive saga had been a joke until now and should not have been....maybe thats what happens when you bypass the DVD for...
I don't know why you have so many disagrees because I read that preview myself and the game was well on the way to being ready back then ( july issue) before any mention of this delay. people should not disagree just for the sake of it, Grow up!

It's great and if people keep buying HD DVD then it stands a chance, When it comes to the 300 though how many people actually own the better version of 300, answer...not 250'000.
Just like early adopters of standalones are enjoying silver surfer and other movies with absolute pleasure at the moment...It's wonderful when companies bypass a certain DVD association setup to protect the consumer for their own selfish gains.
Check out Nikola Tesla born 1856, he's the man responsible for AC current as we know it, in the 1890's he worked on powering lamps with wireless electricity and demonstrated it numerous times. Really cool stuff.
