Just because Nintendo saved the gaming idustry in the 80's does not mean people have to blindly follow the company and ignore its flaws as a gaming company. Though I'm not saying recent Nintendo consoles were horrible, they aren't as well thought out.
-Look at the N64 with cartridges
-Look at the GCN with small discs
-Look at the wii, which was basically a gamecube with motion controls.
-Look at the 3DS, no second analog stick and basicall...
PSP go didn't alienate anyone because Sony is selling both versions at the same time. It's not like you can't find a PSP 3000 anywhere. There's also the difference that one affects gameplay layout, while the other affects...what again? not playing UMD? how does that affect gameplay?
It is a big deal when some consumers payed $250 for an "unfinished" product, that's just Nintendo bullshit in the making. Sony really fucked up with only having 1 ana...

The difference is that the DS Lite, DSi, DSi XL, PSP 2000, PSP 3000, PSP Go, PSP E 1000 did not add any features that would change the way the game is played on the handheld, meaning they didn't alienate their previous consumers. This is the stupidest thing Nintendo has done, after pricing the 3DS itself of course.

Though it's not the king of RPG's, a surprising console that does have a lot of JRPG's is the PSP (again, I'm not stating the PSP is the king, but it's a ver good platform where JRPGs are found)
Looking at the upcoming games, I'm pretty sure Nintendo has already begun the process of cutting off support for the Wii. The last good game to be released seems to be that new kirby game in development.

I would love to buy this version of the PSP, mainly because my current PSP 1000 is not able to read memory sticks anymore, plus the wi-fi doesn't work anymore either. I don't care much about wi-fi (the only online games I played on PSP were Resistance, Wipeout and Twisted Metal). Without the use of memory sticks, I cannot play long titles like Metal Gear Peace Walker, or Birth By sleep (which I'm dying to play). This PSP would fit perfectly for me IMO. To be honest, I'm just buying GOW3 because I own the past two titles and would like to continue the story (and the fact that amazon has a $20 credit when you buy it, go buy!), but I just don't feel like Gears is the same contender it was when the first one was released, now that game was a beast. Then Gears 2 was released and IMO it was meh, horrible online, great horde mode and a good story I guess. I think the hype has died down compared to the first game.

You missed out on a great game, most underrated game this generation, along with Vanquish. I beat the game a few days ago and I loved it. Sure, it's not worth the $60 price tag, but for $10-20 it is a gem.

and yet...it didn't sell as much as other games. So you're excusing nintendo for all the shovelware games they released on the Wii's lifespan just because they released two good games? Also, don't make it seem like Sony does not have games as high as Mario Galaxy; Uncharted 2 and GTA4 has only 1 percent of a difference compared to SMG, so don't make it seem like 1% is a huge leap.
