That was the big surprise? I don't know why I always do this. I jump the hype train and then get disappointed. I bet the same thing will happen with the big "Sony surprise" at the VGA's. I am disappoint.
I personally prefer a pokemon MMO for 3DS rather than Wii U. Maybe it's because I prefer the look of the pokemon in sprite and cartoon form, and not 3D.

3D is optional, the framerate won't drop for those who will play with the option turned off. For some 3D is a fad, for others it isn't, and it's nice to have the option to choose, not just ignore the fanbase that likes 3D.

You shouldn't blindly follow a company like that. Nintendo HAS made mistakes before. Just because they've made amazing things does not mean they will forever. The 3DS analog nub is not bad, it's pretty good actually, but it doesn't replace the sticks IMO, at least for the console experience (mainly for shooters I mean). They could have easily made small analog sticks like the Vita's (which I hear is really good)
Man, it's people like you guys that make Nintendo think they can do whatever the hell they want without any consequences. Anything Nintendo does, may receive a slight backlash but afterwards it's praised. Same thing is happening and will happen with that second analog nub for the 3DS.

Now that there is a HD version for consoles and Vita, it will really overshadow the 3DS version.
@knifefight- That may be true but FF games are better received worldwide. Japan loves FF, America loves FF and Europe loves FF. While most of MH sales are from Japan only.
The fact that Kojima productions, Square Enix and a couple of other companies have it, make me think Capcom wasn't the only one.
Zelda is a first party title, not a third one. There lies the difference. One is a game made by a company that can decide anything they want with the game itself, even releasing it for the 360 exclusively. The other is for Nintendo consoles only; that's why it's a big deal.
Just think of it this way if the remake does great (which it will), guess what happens afterwards: other FF remakes, maybe including FF7 (for those who want it) and FF8 (which I desperately want)
