Yeah, these screen shots really aren't relevant (except for FIFA). People need to realize that the skill of the art team/programmers are responsible for the visuals and not solely the console. Not to mention, the toolset (Zbrush 2 for launch, Zbrush 3.1 now) for creating models have evolved over the years as well.

So next time you think your exclusive game, for either system, kicks the competitions arse, remember that it is largely due to the development team and not the system. ...

wow, that is some serious tearing...they are even in the screen shots. I really wanted to like this game too. Ah well, gonna have to dust off the original Golden Axe and have a go.

well, I for one do not want to spend $100+ on a single controller.

I have tried this controller with Soul Caliber IV as well. Works nicely! It's not that the d-pad on the 360 is unusable, I just find it a bit cramped. If MS would release an Xbox 360 controller with the left analog and d-pad swapped, that would rock.

As for the artwork, they have Ryu, Ken, Chun Li, Blanka and Akuma.

This was pulled from their comments section:
"Also, it is our policy not to factor in DLC for any game. In the future we will mention exclusive content, like Bioshock's Challenge Rooms, in our articles but it won't affect scoring in any way."

That's your opinion. I for one would want to be informed no matter how small the differences.

Also, they have 14 screen shots of the game, thanks. They just happen to have two roll over comparisons. It is so funny how everyone gets all worked up over comparisons. Take them for what they are and move on. I mean, for once be happy that a Xbox 360 port on the PS3 is this close.

5575d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

I agree that two roll overs are weak. But the actual article covered that both versions were very close in terms of visuals.

I disagree that the only reason to do comparisons is to show that the Xbox 360 is superior. The purpose is to inform which has the overall better experience for the same price. Sometimes it's the PS3 and sometimes it's the Xbox 360. Just to blindly assume that the (insert console name) version is more polished without research is quite foolish.

I would say that more than 50% of the articles on N4G are written by no names. And in terms of bias, I don't see that in this article. The author complimented on the fact that the port was done well. It was just that the 360 version was stronger. That's all.

As for DLC, I am not sure that should factor into the outcome. As it is not included in the initial purchase.

If you read the article they mention that the patches fix various issues. Also, their site covers consoles only so there is no purpose in including the PC version.

When will people realize that it is pointless in comparing consoles to PC. Sigh...

I need to play it to confirm, but if so good catch. I for one find this very relevant. It is a visual bug that needs to be taken care of. Its simple, the shadow geometry isn't being updated based on the main geometry's inventory.

With a game as large (number of models/assets) its easy to miss small details like this. But too many "misses" will eventually hurt the overall experience.

Isn't that the point of all articles to bring traffic to a website? Can you point me to another site that has a VIDEO comparison of the FEAR 2 Demo? Good luck, that's how I found the Lens of Truth, they were the only ones.

Seriously, if you didn't care about the comparison why have you spent so much time and energy commenting on it? The whole point of these comparisons is for non-fanboys, who own both consoles, to pick the superior version. Plain and simple.

5581d ago 3 agree1 disagreeView comment

It is true. It really does come down the the programmers/art team in the end. One version is almost always going to be gimped. And it is not always the PS3, it just depends on which one gets more development time.

Well, the best thing that you can do for yourself is buy an extended warranty from Microsoft. Once you get your replacement system you have 90 days to purchase one. They offer 1-year ($29) and 2-year ($59) contracts. I had a launch system and I am currently on my 5th system and second 2-year warranty. But man, the warranty has saved me some serious money. It covers everything on the system not just the RROD. The only thing that sucks is this...they will always replace your system with the EXA...

Well, you obviously have a thing or two to learn about marketing.

While this is great and all, I don't see many people tossing out their current HDTV's for this technology just yet. If Sony really wants this to succeed, they will need to adapt the technology to current displays.

I am no expert at this, but couldn't this be accomplished similar to the Disney 3D movies? They use polarized glasses and the screen the image is being projected on isn't anything special. It appears that the polarization (or the effect) is done as a post process. Somet...

Yeah, it is definitely a weird design choice. I mean, I am a few hours in and it keeps telling me how to block and wall jump. Maybe the game thinks I suck. :)

Actually it is quite clever. The "Lens of Truth" in Zelda lore allowed Link to see things that wasn't visible to the eye. And for a site that mainly does comparisons of cross platform games it seems fitting.

Great video! Man that takes me back, it is amazing how far we have come. I still remember playing Street Fighter II almost daily at my local arcade.

Shoryuken!!!

Eh, that is debatable. What is considered reasonable? When you think about a decent, low-end gaming rig you are still hitting the $500+ mark. Also, in the life span of a console the PC will have gone through 3 to 4 graphic card generations. So why again is it fair to compare the PS3/Xbox 360, whose hardware is 3+ years old, to brand new gaming PC's? It's not.
