The author of this article mistakenly showed pictures/video of an actual DHS trainer that prepares teachers and first responders for an active shooter event. So that part isn't pointless, as you said, it helps prepare.

Now, the game that the BBC article shows, that is distasteful.

So to clear things up a bit. This article is using a video clip from a DHS developed simulation that trains school teachers and first responders how to deal with a active shooter situation at a school. This is legit, for officials only training. https://www.youtube.com/wat... The author of this article is using screenshots and footage from the trainer and not the actual game that is being discussed in the piece. ...

As a proud owner of a Wii U (as well as all the other systems) I must say I am impressed with the hardware. At the moment it offers something a bit different a fresh. Also, I am glad to see Nintendo enter the HD era and I think the system will go strong for many years to come. Sure it won't stack up against the next offerings that Nintendo and Sony will have...but they don't need to. Its all about the games and experiences, something I think we will see more of next generation...graph...

Great read and analysis of two of the best classic RPG's. I never made that connection with Miguel, but man...if that's true. :)

Hmm, interesting that they are selling off one of the biggest franchises. Unless they are being smart and getting it sold before an inevitable collapse. Someday CoD will go the way of Rock Band and Guitar Hero. Its the yearly rehashes that make the money but also make it a tired product in the eyes of many consumers.

That seems to be the trend this E3, just a lot of what we already know about because developers have moved onto the new platforms and are unable to discuss due to legal reasons. Ubisoft and LucasArts were smart to show off the "PC" versions of their upcoming titles to give us an idea of what we should expect out of the new consoles. Can't wait!

To be honest, many of the press conferences have been underwhelming. Even the Wii U unveil was a bit lackluster. So far the most memorable moments this E3 were Watch Dogs and The Last of Us.

After being burned by the Nintendo 3DS price drop so quickly after launch, I think I am going to take the wait and see approach on the PS Vita. The system and killer launch games aren't going anywhere and they will be cheaper when I do take the plunge.

it is absolutely amazing that in just over a day $1,305,701 has been raised for this game. I really hope other developers and even known indies start taking this route.

Well only $20,000,000 to go until we see Psychonauts 2!

By far one of the best platformers ever created. Glad to see PC users can experience it!

Nice visual style, but both versions appear to be running sub-HD resolution. Overall the demo was fun and if it's your sort of game either platform will suffice.

Man, this game looks just like the fighting events in the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm titles. Those were a blast!

Overall pretty close, looks like the PS3 version has a bit more screen tearing and some missing shaders (slider #3). But all in all I hoped for better visuals from CyberConnect2, maybe they should stick to what they are good at - cell shading.

Also, is that Gaara's voice (english dub)?!

I completely agree, but my favorite game of the year by far was Portal 2. Such a great experience from start to finish.

Time to start filling up my Steam wishlist! :)

What? "No I Wanna Be The Boshy" or "I Wanna Be The Guy?" Sure they are free PC, indie titles but they are some of the most brutal games ever devised. If you want a challenge, be sure to check them out. You'll hate yourself for it later.

Considering the other lands of Tamriel have been discovered in the PC version of Skyrim (minus high res textures) I'd go with that as the DLC setting.

No, Skyrim will not fade into obscurity as fast as other hyped games because this title has so much life breathed into its world and infinite replayibility. Not to mention future DLC and of course the PC mods.

Sure the game has some flaws and Bethesda will continue patching them. But even with them, this game is solid. I have to agree that it's on my list of best games, mainly due to the experience.

They really look similar in motion, great job Ubisoft! Seriously, the only real difference is missing/lower bloom on the PS3. But man...they both screen tear something fierce, but that is just something that every Assassin's Creed on the consoles had against it.

Wow, Ubisoft did a much better job this time around on the port, the textures look virtually identical however it does appear that the 360 version has softer shadows and more pronounced bloom.

Same here! Since this is based around their land and legends I figured it would be good as a first playthrough.
