Your wrong! There has already been a private beta for R2. In fact it ended last weekend. I played it along with many others. Of course it was an earlier build, but the competitive and co-op modes HAVE been played already.
why did Resistance:FOM online suck? I thought it had great multiplayer run and gun action with some awesome weapons to choose from. If your saying it sucked because it had 40 players, then you could have just played 5v5 games like your used too.

This game has changed since the first Resistance. The Core gameplay has changed. You can disagree all you want, but when YOU play it, you will see. It plays more like COD or BF:BC.
It has moved away from its Run and Gun roots into a tactical shooter and you only carry two weapons at any given time.
I think IG are exceptional developers, and im sure the game will be successful. It just do...
Yes, there is a sprint button. Right now though the difference between walking and running is minimal. Im sure it will change for the final release.
actually in the game if you look under "rank advancement" it will show you what is required. IAR means "In A Round" so whatever it says you need to perform that in one single round. i guarantee that is your problem, you need the 4x4 badge. kill 5 troops with the jeep by either running them over or using the 50cal.....In A Round.

the rank updates work. im sure you are just missing part of the requirement to gain rank. its most likely you need to get your 4x4 badge (killing 5 guys with the jeep in a round). check the requirements for your next rank, im sure your missing something.
same thing happend to me, found out, then jumped a couple ranks after i got my badge. felt like a retard.

something for free? in a couple weeks they are giving us update 1.3. two new weapons, a new vehicle, 20 new warhawk paint jobs, 50 new insignias, added voice and game options....all for FREE! they are doing an excellent job of supporting this game. a 5-10 dollar map isn't being milked. they have to receive some money for the effort of continuing support. is it really THAT much money? even if you play it for only a couple hours, that is worth $5 imo.

Damn, that is gonna be crazy! thanks for posting a link for the video. looks like each person aboard can control a missle turret while the pilot flys. those guns on the sides are Awesome! this is gonna change the way the game is played and make it more team based, tactical, and hectic!
You are right, it is a bomb.......its a AAA Bomb. Amazing game so far. best graphics i have seen on a console.

Great game so far. Im only past the first chapter. Everything about this game is top notch. if you enjoyed the demo at all, then get this game!!
You can ALWAYS get into a NON-ranked match. it is the RANKED matches that have the problem with being full all the time. there are over 500 games going on everytime i log on, you can always find one to join. the game JUST came out, i think we could wait a week for them to fix the problem with the RANKED servers. its not like you cant play the game, just hard to find a RANKED game to get into.
its a GREAT game, just play UNRANKED for now and enjoy.
im also buying the orange box for this game....the other stuff is just extras.
