In a NowGamer 007 Blood Stone interview, Bizarre Creation's Neil Thompson has explained why he feels British studios make the best games in the world.
GF365: "Here are our picks for the ten most underrated third-person shooters that you might not have played before or even known about."
Actually great list TBH I agree with all 10
I hope one day we get some remakes for the following
The saboteur(with a proper remake and quality of life features this game could be great)
Scarface world is yours
Binary domain ( such a great game with great story)
GUN(this needs a remake)
Space marine 40k(such fun time)
Would also like to suggest adding the mercenary series even the 2nd game which is disliked by many is a fun time
I recently finished Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine and found it to be very enjoyable.
The game respected the lore and the gameplay was quite decent.
The color palette was a bit underwhelming (backdrops and setting) and recycled but I think that it deserved better.
Here's hoping for an amazing sequel
From Eurogamer: "Staff from two big-name former UK studio are teaming up for a new set of projects.
Wushu Studios, which is largely made up of ex-Evolution staff members (think MotorStorm and Driveclub) is joining forces with Lucid Games, which is largely filled by former Bizarre Creations talent (think Project Gotham Racing)."
I just want Sony to hire Evolution staff back and make Driveclub 2. I believe after all the delays and problems Driveclub had in the beginning damaged the relations between Sony and Evolution, but in the end, Evolution did all they promised and much more, and Sony was to proud to "forgive" them and keep them as "internal studio".
Jerry from BagoGames says, "Everyone has fond memories of Goldeneye and wishes for the Bond games of yesteryear: does Blood Stone have a chance of taking down the top contender?"
I remember this being pretty damn good. I might replay it soon on PS3.
Who needs backwards compatibility? 😏
Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts was awesome
Rare is an amazing game studio and im glad they are making games on Xbox 360
This is true, but please... Don't call us 'Brits', we prefer the term 'Overlords'.
Yeah, I'm sure Nuts and Bolts was awesome. Codemasters has shaped this generation of car games and Sony Liverpool is a great studio as well. But the downside is that Naughty Dog, Valve, Insomniac, Crytek, Rockstar, Bethesda, Bungie, Codemasters, Nintendo, (Infinity Ward), Sony Santa Monica, Kojima Studios, Squarenix and many other studios that have shaped this generation of games aren't british. And you can't blame the brits for not having as many great game studios as Japan and USA. But overall, yes Brits have remarkably many good developers compared to pretty eqully large and located Germany. Media Molecule, Rare, Bizarre, Sony Liverpool, London and Cambridge and Codemasters are a happy bunch. So it's a good observation. But there are more game of the year winners that aren't britsh than the other way around, so saying that "Brits make the best games" is a bit nyeh... but I'm sure he didn't mean it so literally.
Media Molecule
Studio Liverpool, London, Cambridge
Rockstar
Code Masters
That's all I can think of. I'm sure there's loads more though. I agree they seem to make the best quality games, not that they have every genre covered or anything like that... not enough British devs to make enough games. There are plenty bad ones too.
Criterion is british as well. Both criterion and media molecule are based in guildford. The UK has awesome talent considering the size of the country
