Seriously it actually takes place in Canada. Many of the games on your list just have a level in Canada and aren't actually set there.

This stinks of cash in after the terible first game sold a sh1t load after sticking two mascots on a box.
Hopefully this is to use the best of Motion Plus and therefore have some point.
The game will be released 2009 for Wii and DS, and is being developed at Sega Japan under the guidance of Shigeru Miyamoto.
The first Mario and Sonic wasn't bad in my opinion, the controls just got a little tiring after a while. Still, it's an okay game to play. I'm sure the sequel will be better. At least, I hope it will be.
