EDGE - Minecraft figurehead Markus ‘Notch’ Persson has taken to Twitter to take issue with with Mojang’s placing in our inaugural game developer listings. We placed the Swedish studio second only to Valve in the first Edge Developer Awards, which were judged by Edge’s editorial team. Notch described the placing as a ‘great honour’, but disagreed with our decision.
Who did it better: Notch or Microsoft? Microsoft can push Minecraft to a whole new level that Notch might not have been able to achieve. But does that mean the game is getting better or not?
Notch by a mile. The Super Duper Graphics Pack was a joke to promote the launch of Xbox One X.
The bedrock edition is a mess and the Switch version has issues. The game has gone nowhere. We should’ve had Minecraft 2 by now.
Bullshit. The game has made great strides thanks to Microsoft. Especially in the education segment. Sure there are some things that you can nitpick like the Graphics Pack being delayed. But besides that I can't see the game being better than it is now if they never sold to Microsoft.
Also Minecraft 2 is never gonna happen. There is no point.

I'm not surprized, he was above a lot of great developers which have done a lot more then him

10. Riot Games - Mainly for League Of Legends....REALLY
09. Arkane Studios - The only thing they really did was recently and that was Dishonored
08. FromSoftware - I loved Demon Souls but in the top 10...no just no
07. Bungie - Don't have a problem with
06. Rockstar North - Don't have a problem with
05. Naughty Dog - Don't have a problem with but to low on the list.
04. Platinum Games - A HEAD of NaughtyDog...for what Bayonetta and Vanquish compared to Crash, Jak and Daxter and bloody Uncharted.
03. Nintendo EAD - Don't have a problem with but should of been second or first in my opinion with all they've done for gaming.
02. Mojang - As we're talking about the guy has hardly done anything....Minecraft is one game. They've done more then Nintendo, ND, Rockstar, Bungie etc
01. Valve - Don't really have a problem with being in the top 10.
The whole list is just....bad, like really bad.
