Posted today in a cool-looking HD version on GameTrailers as included in today's GameHead. Watch on!
WTMG's Kyle Nicol: "Whilst F.E.A.R 2 wasn’t the masterpiece I remembered from ten years ago, with its combat and level design being worse than the original, it is still a fun game that is well worth playing through today. "
PSU writes:
PSU continues its look at the horror genre over the past 20 years on PlayStation platforms, with our latest entry looking at the tail end of the PS2 era and into a new generation with the release of the PS3. Resident Evil 4, Dead Space, Siren: Blood Curse, and F.E.A.R. are just some of the pant-wetting pleasures you'll find in part 3.
Stephanie Burdo from The Koalition writes:
"With Halloween just around the corner, TheKoalition.com has decided to list some horror games which petrified us the most.
Please note that this list is in no particular order. Each selection has been made by individual writers who found their respective choice their most terrifying experience in gaming."
I mostly agree with those except with Alan Wake, it wasnt scary at all.
But a great list overall.
I've played all games on the list. Alan wakes was intense at certain moments not scary. Fatal Frame; I was quite young then it got me scared shit less(damn camera). The evil within was ok but Resident evil scared me more back in the day (maybe its because I got older, dont know).
As for PT? ok...I advice people NOT to use surround headsets whie playing this...Jesus... I could hear her moan behind me right on top of my ear at times and I could for the life of me turn around...mind f***
But my god does Alien Isolation raise my heart beat. When you're being chased by the xenomorph and you know you are totally defenseless against it can scare the bejesus out of you, things get worse when you realize that running for it when you encounter the beast makes things worse, yeah...
That said Silent hill 2 was scary as shit as well, especially when the Pyramid head chased you...
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOO DAYUMMM dis looks sik. I can see they've nicely tuned up the graphicss, still seems like it'll be all office building settings, hopefully they may change that and add some scary crysis like jungle scenes........*heres hopin* lol
The guns seemed pretty sick, the enemies didn't seem that varied like last time, except for the last one who sounded like a scary retarded baby spewing up and wildly shaking his head from side to side. But if it's anything like it's predoccessor......this will be one hell of a thrill ride, i nearly died of a heart attack at 12 oclock in the night all alone! Seemed even more scarier.....*salivates*
This looks cool
My favorite PC shooter is finally getting a sequel, and it looks fantastic. Kicking over objects for cover, enemies flying and flailing everywhere, vaulting over objects, etc...this looks frantic as Hell. I love it.
It still seems to resort to the corridor/office room style of the first, but we'll see.
I hope the PS3 version is done justice this time around, with M/KB support to boot.
I too was a F.E.A.R fanatic on the PC and when it came to Xbox there was a huge injustice done to the game... then it came to PS3 and that was an even worst version.
Trust me I played the PC version day and night and it was amazing, I loved that game, but the console versions where terrible, with the PS3 version just being the worst game I've ever played on a console. It was awful, controls sucked big time.
This game will probably be the same in my opinion, I have played games like the Call of Duty beta and I know what is possible for a shooter on the console, and this will not be an example of a good version.
Sure the trailer looks good but so did the last one for the consoles, and it played awful... I have no faith in this company to make a good shooter anymore.
That trailer seems weak compared to the PC version, take a look at it and you tell me, I've attached it below. (to me this one got you more into the game)
Looks pretty awesome, shall be buying this when it comes out. FEAR on the 360 was so much fun, never played the PC version though.
