GoldenEye's Return Sells Twice As Well As HD Bond Outings

It's not very often a Nintendo-exclusive title outsells a similar game on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but the GoldenEye name clearly still carries appeal for UK gamers as the game comprehensively outsold HD 007 outing James Bond 007: Blood Stone.

This little news bit won't receive much attention, me thinks.

And the attention it does get will be to marginalze it.

EvilTwin4917d ago

Yep. But it looks like this is for UK sales. I wonder what it has done here in the states?

What do u expect Wii does'nt have many to choose from. Where as PS3 & 360 have tons.

AWBrawler4917d ago

Because when I got Goldeneye, I also got Red Steel 2, The Conduit, and Modern Warfare Refelex for the cheap, that same day. And all of them are good games (albeit Conduit's Online has problems)

Shame for Bizarre, they just can't catch a break.

But woo for Eurocom.... they're pretty much the go to Bond dev now and good on them, their Bond games are brilliant especially Goldeneye.

EvilTwin4917d ago

Eurocom, under the radar, has become one of the best (if not THE best) third-party Wii devlopers. They were given a turd sandwich in the form of Extraction ("here, make another light gun game"), and managed to make one of the best games in the genre this gen.

And now they've made a darn good FPS.

If Nintendo is made of money right now, I kinda wonder if they'd seriously think of buying the studio. They put out quality.

SpoonyRedMage4917d ago

It'd probably be a good purchase but it might make more sense to just continue working with Activision and Eurocom.

...and whilst I enjoyed DS: E Goldeneye shows what could have, and should have been like.

Actually great list TBH I agree with all 10

I hope one day we get some remakes for the following

The saboteur(with a proper remake and quality of life features this game could be great)
Scarface world is yours
Binary domain ( such a great game with great story)
GUN(this needs a remake)
Space marine 40k(such fun time)

Would also like to suggest adding the mercenary series even the 2nd game which is disliked by many is a fun time

I recently finished Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine and found it to be very enjoyable.

The game respected the lore and the gameplay was quite decent.

The color palette was a bit underwhelming (backdrops and setting) and recycled but I think that it deserved better.

Here's hoping for an amazing sequel

I don't even remember this game existing

jokerman272406d ago

Yeah, it does and it's pretty good actually!

CobraKai2406d ago

I might have to check it out. My other favorite Bond game was an original story, Everything or Nothing.

DigitalRaptor2406d ago (Edited 2406d ago )

I remember this being pretty damn good. I might replay it soon on PS3.

Who needs backwards compatibility? 😏

jokerman272406d ago

Exactly, save those old systems ;)
