A no-frills Xbox One will set you back £350 at the moment and a PlayStation 4 more like £400. There are less games to play on either and I’m pretty bored of hearing about how bad the new release schedule is looking. So why not give the Wii U a go? The bigger question is what’s stopping you?
If you thought Miyamoto was going to compare the Wii U to the PlayStation 4, you would be wrong.
"Miyamoto:Tablets Overtook Wii U Quickly"<---EPIC FACEPALM, don't tell me Miyamoto all this time was going against the mobile gaming with the Wii U ??. EPIC SENILE RETARDNESS by Mr. Miyamoto if true.
Not freaking joking if it wasn't for Sony,PC gaming and lastly the xbox, the game industry would be death years ago, Nintendo is screwing the gaming industry and themselves by their ignorant decisions a lot.
Please don't talk about VR MR. Miyamoto you would only slow its progress in periods of years.
As I said in an earlier post:
Make hardware comparable (to x1/ps4) and easier to develop for.Fix the infrastructure and Online
Stop focusing on just local co-op, get with the times and add online (and the "option" for voice chat)
Get a mobile app for downloading games and whatnot straight to the console.
Upgrade the Miis to full blown avatars
Update the UI (faster, more functionality, party chat and etc).
Make the controller as good as the ps4/x1 controller
New and long lasting IPs
Lastly, just because you do things differently than the competition doesn't make it better or more worth it. Ultimately the consumer decides what's better (look at the ps4/x1 at launch up until now). I like new and different things (so does everyone else) but not having basic features/limited hardware compared to the competition and refusing to get with the times (online functionality, blu ray, social connectivity etc) hurts your product more than anything.
I really do hope they've learned their lesson and release a phenomenal new console that exceeds our expectations!
I really hope they shoot a straight arrow with the NX, but I fear we're going to get a third screen on the backside of the gamepad or beneath the console.
Tablets have nothing on or to do with the WiiU. Please show me a game that looks as good or more importantly plays a tenth as good as Smash or Splatoon on a tablet....oh, you can't.
Say goodbye to 2014 as 2015 is approaching rather quickly. Before we even step foot into 2015 lets look at how 2014 fared in gaming.
Sony is not Passive they are riding the wave. Nintendo has allot of fresh content, people just seem to ignore the fact. Anyway, I think PS4, and Wii U are the consoles to have this gen if you want to play great games.
@GotHDGame
If it wasn't for your last sentence where you in essence are saying the Xbox One doesnt have any great games, i wouldn't have disagreed with you.
Like both PS4 and Wii U have great games no doubt, but so has Xbox One aswell.
Of course it matters what kind of games one is into and all that.
But if you want to play great games, and then im talking about games as in general and not bound to one or the other brand, one should pick up the Xbox One also.
Well if you want all the systems, get them. If you're like me and you don't want to split your money up between multiple consoles, buy one. I find it more enjoyable to have a lot of games on one console instead of dividing up your money between 2 or 3 consoles and only having 10 games per console.
@IGiveHugs
Well yes i also find it more enjoyable to have alot of games on one console.
All im saying is that he worded it as if the xbox one didnt have any great games.
Like pick up either of the three systems and have fun, they all bring something good;)
Liam Robbertson from Unseen64 has stated on twitter that EA is rumored to have been working on a SimCity for the Wii U but it ended up as a cancelled game.
Man my wiiu library is looking sweet. Thanks for saving us from the death of simcity! EA are such swell chaps! I wonder what new forkery 3rd parties has planned.

I think I can answer this for the point of view of a normal consumer. You can't play AC Unity, No COD, No Destiny. For them investing in a Wii U makes no sense. You can't play some of the biggest titles. Now if you like Nintendo software then maybe the Wii U is for you but it is a big compromise especially getting the Wii U first. Then you have to think how often Nintendo are releasing their own software. They can only do so much (these two factors stop the general consumer jumping on it)
Also side note but if you "shop around" for the PS4 you can go sub 300. The Destiny bundle is 349 and a "no thrills" box is £339 . £400 is way off
The witcher 3, mass effect 4, uncharted 4, quantum break, destiny, GTA v, cod to name a few.
But you should own a Wii u for its game library... they're still awesome!
PC and Wii U are all you need now. The best games on the other console are even better on the PC, so I see no reason to own one of the other console's yet.
Bayonetta 2, Devil's Third and Xenoblade Cross, though. That's the type of stuff one should get a console for. That and the gamepad. Praise be to the gamepad.
yes the Wii U is a better console than PS4 and XBONE now.... but that's only cuz its been out longer...... by December 2015 you'll look at the 3 consoles libraries and the Wii U will clearly be the weakest.....
I personally don't own either of the 3, the XBONE and PS4 have no games that interest me... Why don't I buy a Wii U? well because I have a PS3, a 3DS and Vita all who are still getting great games... no need to rush buy a next gen console before the games for them are out
If you primarily game on PC, the Wii U is the only console even remotely worth owning at the moment.
