I would love to have the sequel of Republic Commando be something like Imperial Commando. or at least get there eventually after a sequel or two. Would be awesome.

No offense to Fred, but I disagree with a few of those predictions. Some of them just seem highly unlikely (most of them are the ones in the "fun" category, so they are out there alredy, I understand)
But Steamworks on XBOX I thought Valve tried that and Microsoft would not let them. And the Old Republic on XBOX, or any console, seems extremely unlikely to me.
Most of the timed DLC I agree with (COD, Bioshock, etc for sure) but, after seeing Batma...

The ads are not the problem, as this has been going on for years now. I guess it was more in regards to like the MW2 Xbox console. But as long as the games play the same, etc, there should not be an issue.
Despite how much I do not like Activision, this is more of an industry issue than an Activision one.

Definitely agree. I am close to even getting that way with Assassin's Creed as well.
I disagreed because of the PS4. Don't want to see that, and I think that it is WAY too early. Same goes for Microsoft, I really don't want another console just as everything this generation is getting so good.
Its just Nintendo that NEEDS a new one, and honestly, I am not very excited about it myself.
The other stuff on your list (especially that battlefront 3) are great though.
also, the article said something about the call map pack. Isn't it not out yet for PS3? I thought that it was timed exclusive DLC, so the PSN being down should not affect it at all, right?

I am playing that right now for the same reason. Its fun, just finished Sly 2 last night, now onto Sly 3
IF that happens, then I agree. However, as I see it at this very moment (where I don't think any credit cards have really been stolen, or if so only a handful (sorry, don't really know the numbers)) then RROD is worse for many of the reasons others have already mentioned.
If widespread credit card theft occurs, however, then we are talking a much bigger dilemma than just a network being down.
I believe you for that, but not really the issue that is being discussed here...

I am currently downloading the Orange Box on my computer as well. And I still have about half of the Sly Collection to work through. And good call on ME2, that was a fun one.
This should not stop anyone's gaming habits. Hopefully we all have enough single player games to play (Wait, games have single player, I almost forgot) and those are great. I would hope, as gamers, we would all be mad at their attempts to disrupt and interfere with out hobby. I may not own an XBOX, but I like to think I have enough respect for my fellow gamer that I would not be happy if the same crap was happening to LIVE.

Good points. I agree, and it was not even the best joke. And in regards to everyone else who seems kind of upset/put off, if a PS3 joke was made (and one that was funny) I would take it as such, and laugh.
Its a joke, and people need to be more secure in their purchases. It is just a bunch of plastic and wires that apparently has been elevated to high levels of importance in people's minds. And that just gets annoying.
