I agree. They definitely left it open for a third. Wish that would have happened. I also wish they would have been able to finish 2 fully and not have it be rushed.

Good idea for a top 10. However, leaving off Uncharted, Red Dead Redemption (among other Rockstar games), and Metal Gear Solid makes me disagree strongly with this list. Those three should not have been missed.

Exactly. I have always preferred Bioware over Bethesda because of the STORY that they can make. It keeps me going in the game, and has ever since KOTOR. For the same reason, I enjoyed Dragon Age so much. ME1 too. You don't need to have just a pure open world when the background and the experience is so well crafted.

I enjoyed Fallout, but half the time, outside of just exploring, there was nothing to propel me forward, to keep me playing, or to keep me interested. And bec...

I hope it takes a bit more than a video game to change my life. However, between how awesome a game this is going to be and how excited I am for Uncharted 3, those combined might come close lol.

to all above, I am pretty sure that he is being sarcastic. Very sarcastic

Thank you. I like 7 as much as the next guy, but realistically, remaking/updating/remastering it would be such a pain that it is not worth it. They do care, its just that whole risk/costs vs. benefits thing they are trying to balance out.

Spoiler for MW2...

Ghost died with Roach by the General.

@yodacracker

I respectfully disagree. 2009 was my favorite year for gaming until this year. I had Uncharted 2, Infamous, Batman Arkham Ayslum, Assassin's Creed 2, COD MW2 (i know, but still got it), and Dragon Age Origins just to name a few.

Honestly, until this year, I don't think any year has come close for myself. If ME2 was released in the same year, yeah, it would have taken quite a few of those awards away. However, I still hold that UC2 deserv...

@dragonknight

I agree completely. I heard about this game for the first time in this article, and it is already AAA? I feel that is quite the assumption

I got the orange box to play portal 1 for the first time a few months ago, saw I got half life 2, and so then I also got half life 1 on steam.

My computer is old, but with the game being older it worked great. Great game, and like I said, I only played half life 1 on the computer for the first time months ago. Definitely should get it.

Uncharted Team Racing?

I also just did not even like how you recruited characters, etc. in ME2. It felt like a laundry list and collecting employees, not a team that naturally wanted to follow me. I believe 1 also handled that much better.

@lastduel

You definitely have a point about the new IP. From the article, I was not a fan of this quote:

"It's a natural entry point for new players: giant alien race launches all-out war, you have to rally the forces of the universe to counter and see if you can take them down."

How in the world is the third game in a series a "natural entry point." By this point, I would keep the series true to what made it get this ...

KOTOR was my first RPG, and so I am all about keeping that style of RPG in tact. That is why I loved Dragon Age Origins so much.

And then what they went and did with DA2 was horrible. I feel the same about ME1 to ME2. Yeah, while ME1 is a loose RPG to begin with, ME2 was even less of one. Hence why I enjoyed 1 significantly more than 2.

OBVIOUSLY SPOILERS

There would be no plague if Kessler did not go back and do the ray sphere in the first place though. I assumed that when he referenced the special/unique role, it was how John would help Cole become the hero that Kessler expected Cole to be. Not that John was the beast.

End SPOILER

I loved Jak and Daxter. And now I love Uncharted. The J and D games are great, but without letting them go we never would get Uncharted, etc. Despite how much it pains me to say this, it is nice that they try new things, expanding upon awesomeness each and every time.

I won't forget about some of my favorite games, but at the same time I am very pleased that they tried something different. If anything this just shows the power of the franchises that Naughty Dog creates.

unfortunate. I like to rent my games from there.

Just read that they are coming out with a book that is going to explain what happened to Revan as well after the first KOTOR. I am looking forward to the book, but looks like the game is unlikely.
