It'll be interesting to see what GamePass output will look like after the first batch of acquisition games we see. Bethesda has great depth in their teams to be able to roll out releases fairly frequently, as does playground with Forza Horizon, the Coalition with Gears. Obsidian could be as well. Those studios mixed with Call of Duty are likely your more frequent releases. Turn 10's Forza and Halo infinite seem to be moving towards the GaaS model, so you likely won't be seeing new...

Sony also doesn't claim that their $70 games are the "best deal in gaming". The increase in price is no doubt due to increased development costs for their games. I for one have yet to buy a game for $70 (and I rarely ever bought them for $60 either). I'll stick to ps plus sub for $30/year, along with my other couple $10 games a year and once in a while a game for closer to full price. That's more than enough for me, hence my 200+ game backlog. At $25/month will it still ...

Microsoft literally tried to double the price of Xbox Live Gold a year ago? Wtf are you talking about

Sony has given free upgrades for many of their games. Microsoft does best in this regard, Sony next, then Nintendo. I do agree this instance is weird, and they're definitely trying to squeeze a couple dollars out of people, but at the same time if you only own 1 of the games (and they've given out U4 for free on ps plus), you get both of them upgraded. I have both of them for PS4, but honestly will probably still upgrade. Because the collection is releasing on PC at the same time the ...

Looking at performance of RE7, this isn't surprising. Village is actually selling better than RE7. These games seem to have long legs in terms of sales. Although available on last gen consoles, many could certainly be waiting to play until having access to a new console.

This is what I keep saying as well. They could have seriously expanded the industry, but instead chose to consolidate it.

It's a $40 game actually, but value is value.

Really just glad nut kicks are confirmed back, though each one will probably come with a line about toxic masculinity or something.

That's actually a lot bigger than I expected.

Quite the scummy move by the developers to tweet about it AND tag major outlets. Consumers then wouldn't be able to trust review scores. Ultimately they're bonuses, not base pay, so I don't feel so bad about it, but the whole bonus for high ratings thing is quite archaic, and I feel like sales would be a better indicator, though those efforts are handled by publisher so not sure how that would affect motivations.

Game definitely should have been delayed. I'm still excited to play it tomorrow, though I'm a sucker for bf games.

@duckonquack That's a good way to tell us you've never played a battlefield game without telling us you've never played a battlefield game. Not sure what part of BF 2042 gives you COD vibes?

Nearly every shooter on the market has a huge skill gap. COD is the easiest to pick up and play, that's why it's so popular, but if you get in a lobby with longtime players, you're gonna get dunked on. That's just how video games work.

Fall 2011 will always be a time that I remember. I had come off of playing 4 straight Call of Duty games; MW, WaW, MW2, and black ops with a group of my friends. MW2 was and likely always will be my favorite. I had poured months of game time into the series, so it should have been easy for Infinity Ward to sell me on the game over BF3. I had played some bad company 1&2 before, but it hadn't quite grabbed me like call of duty did. Leading up to the release of BF3 and MW3, one stood abo...

I've been wanting to play Kingdoms of Amalur since it came out 10 years ago. So that's a welcome addition for me.

Gameplay looks fun as hell, but why does the dialogue always have to be so damn corny. It's always one liner after one liner.

Absolutely incredible indeed. I love the art style.

To me this makes me recall Mark Cerny's presentation (sorry to bring it up again). He spoke about how the increased clocks have some advantages over simply having more compute units. That might be what we're seeing here, maybe not, who knows. If it is, it's likely that most developers won't take advantage of it. Either way, I really want to play this game on my ps5, I was jealous of Nintendo and Xbox for getting it first.

I always wanted to pick it up, but have too many other games to play. I can't imagine many still play.

I love the Tomb Raider games, but the writing is absolutely horrible all throughout the trilogy. Besides that though, I think Crystal Dynamics is talented.
