@InUrFoxHole And that's exactly why Sony is so worried that theyre going to lose COD. No one can compete with it. Ask a random mom what call of duty is, they'll know. Ask about battefield, youll get blank stares. It's a household/brand name so deeply ingrained in the industry that even the worst selling games in the series sell more than any competitors best.
It is honestly baffling how poorly they have done with the Battlefield franchise. They have a HUGE opportunity in the future if Activision games go exclusive. Not only would COD be exclusive, but Overwatch as well. Estimates have Overwatch at over 50 million copies. That's not small potatoes either. EA has Battefield, Medal of Honor, and Titanfall all at their disposal, yet they have killed basically every franchise. Titanfall or Medal of Honor already have a history of being more arcade ...
COD has never really had cutting edge graphics imo, but since the MW reboot i feel they have looked pretty good.
If you like the old style games AC black flag and syndicate are great. For more witcher type of gameplay, origins is great and odyssey is decent too. Valhalla i havent played yet. For their other franchises there really hasnt been much of note since far cry 3.
I have to admit, i havent played in a while. It was a hell of a lot of fun for the 6 months I played though.
I cant believe an IGN owned company would allow Harry Potter games to be sold!
@GamingSinceForever Most of the old CODs never had dedicated servers anyway and rely on players to host the matches.
Although it would have been cool to have factions included in the remake, i dont think it would make sense with the standalone factions coming in the next year or 2
Hoping they might release DLC, as they did with most of the souls games prior to Sekiro. Of course a free update in the vein of what Hello Games has been doing would be great, I'd also be more than willing to pay $15 or so for quality additional content.
RDR2 has now sold over 44 million copies. It certainly met sales expectations. The online likely didn't make near as big of a splash as GTA Online, and has fizzled out. Without an initial surge and sustained engagement from the community, there's no reason for them to keep pumping resources into it.
I seem to recall (maybe just rumors) that Xbox was going to work with Oculus headsets back in the day. Obviously nothing came of that though.
I've been playing the game off and on for the last 2 years and it's still fun as hell. I think complaining about these things is a fruitless effort with the game being free to play, but there are some good points made. I just don't care enough because I don't play the game "seriously". It's just a fun game to mess around with friends in.
There have been squad modes in the game for probably the last year. I haven't played any of the new season, but I can't imagine they took it out.
This is it. I can feel it. This is the start of my villain origin story.
Tried out infamous last night. There was essentially no input lag, which was awesome, but anytime there were a lot of effects on the screen the performance chugged. I don't remember it being like that on the PS3 natively.
Right? This is the most pointless "reveal" I've ever seen. It'd be news if there wasn't going to be. Only way we see this before the 30s is if they expand and split into 2 teams.
Does the "extra" include the PS4 games that are included in the classics? Like Bioshock, Batman, etc.
Since Fallout 4, I have a hard time putting my hope into anything BGS. I still think they make entertaining games, just nothing that blows me out of the water.
Several of my friends were very hyped for Starfield. Although I was still intrigued, I warned them that even Bethesda had said it was going to be "Skyrim in space". And guess what, it's basically just Fallout in space.
The world is the piece that I'm looking forward to the most, b...
I'm assuming they were developing it for PC and decided they might as well release on ps5 as well. That way PC wouldn't have a newer version than the console would. Though I also heard it started during development of Last of Us Part 2.
I can certainly tell you though that I won't be buying it. I already bought it twice. Once on PS3, once as an upgrade on PS4.
I would expect the announcement today or tomorrow around noon. Ps essential games are revealed the wednesday before the first Tuesday of the month. Probably something similar here (3rd Tuesday?). I think the reason they were announced early the last month or 2 is because they were leaked ahead of time.
