@optimuDK Just because the cloud market is 2% now doesnt mean it will be in 10 years. The market is expanding rapidly. Look at how mobile expanded. 15 years ago the iphone was just getting on its feet. Microsofts 10 year deals where they take 100% of the revenues shows they arent willing to play along. That is an example of them already exerting their market influence.
The combat in the new God of War games is better, but I agree GoW 3 was the peak. Boss fight after boss fight with brutal violence. A game that is supremely badass.
I agree. Althought it's odd for it to be 30 instead of 60, the reality is that most people play games are 30 fps anyway - Colin Moriarty mentioned this a couple weeks ago on Sacred Symbols. I feel like they should give a better idea of release date for the patch though. Concerns me that it's as vague as it is.
This is by far the biggest list of games taken off in a month, previously it's only been a handful. For myself specifically there's a couple games from my backlog coming off, but nothing huge, and most of the games can be grabbed for a couple bucks on sale, so wont matter toooo much for me. It does suck to see them go though.
I would assume its because we'll see spiderman 2 gameplay soon, and they'll take it off until a couple months after the sequel releases.
I kept getting caught up in other games so I never got around to buying Doom Eternal. If it's good I'll still buy it so i can keep it. The reboot was awesome, i think i played through it about 5 times, and platinumed it.
I'd love to see how much both MS and Sony spend on advertising their respective consoles in Japan. Microsoft really hasnt ever given a good effort in Japan, so it's no suprise they dont have any market share.
Watched the wife play last night. The game has a lot of 2 things: Jenk and character.
Very excited to try this out tomorrow. Looks like a fun game to just run around and explore.
I think it has improved drastically, though still is nowhere on par with other battlefield games. I think the tanks still need to be nerfed, or javelin/rocket launcher damage needs to be increased. The weapons feel a lot better now than they did at launch.

2023 is already shaping up to be one of the biggest years in gaming in recent history. So excited for all the games to play. No matter what platform you play on, i think we can all agree were getting a LOT of big releases this year. Great time to be a gamer.
I somewhat regret upgrading to ps plus premium, but for $60 per year at the time i couldn't turn it down. I find myself playing more games on ps plus and buying less discs. Previously i would have ps essential for $30 per year and buy a couple more games on sale. Even with ps essential, i had more games than i could ever play. The first 2 are great. 3 was still fun, but was a bit bloated/repetitive.
As someone who just recently played Mafia for the first time, it's a MUST play of you like those types of games. It does the gangster story nearly perfectly imo. It's short and sweet too. I can't decide if I like Mafia 1 or 2 more.

Switch sales are obviously impressive, but its also worth noting that the switch fills a console and handheld market. For instance wii+ds together sold an astronomical amount of systems
The writing of those games was just plain bad, though i have a fun time playing them. The 1 year timed exclusivity on x1 also seemed to take all momentum away from the series.
Microsoft's recent argument that they dont have any exclusive games is hilarious considering they still have exclusives from all of their latest acquisitions that havent released, with the exception of psychonauts 2 and pentiment. With how many studios they have, they could probably put out nearly 20 exclusive games in the next 2 years. That would paint a bit of a different picture.
PS Plus essential is imo the best value in gaming. GwG isnt even close anymore. PS Plus free games also preceded GwG, so i guess xbox must have been reacting....lol
When it comes to Gamepass vs premium it really depends on what you prefer. Gamepass is more expensive but gets bigger games at launch. PS Plus on the other hand has a huge catalogue. And no it's not all shovelware, not even close.
