Hassassin> That's the development budget, the total budget was $40,000,000 You can't just develop a game and not market it, those figures I posted were total budget costs.

Not really when you consider the $100,000,000 budget for Halo 4 and GTA 4 or the $60,000,000 for Halo 3 and MW3. It's still a fantastic achievement though for crowd sourcing and proof that there is interest in the space combat genre. The game looks fantastic.

I don't think its dead but I'd be surprised if we see another handheld console from Sony with mobile phones getting more powerful each year. Pachter is just an attention whore, his day was done years ago as a commentator on the games industry, he just throws out comments now to keep his name alive in the industry.

Absolutely, if there was a backlash online against their DRM but enough lemmings went ahead and pre-ordered those voices of discontented gamers would have been ignored, it all came down to pre-orders of the PS4 vastly outnumbering the XBOX One on key indicators like Amazon etc. They will introduce this DRM at some point, they will not waste the development of it, it will be mothballed and then slowly brought in, probably for big blockbuster titles like Halo, Gears or Forza where they will cla...

That's their problem, rather than fix their products they will spend millions on PR trying to tell that actually everything is good. I'm sure there are Microsoft shills operating on this site with some of the very positive comments about Windows 8 in the face of widespread criticism.

I'm planning an upgrade soon, I've already tried Windows 8 on my quad core mid range system and didn't like it but I still have my disk and I'm thinking about giving Windows 8 another go when I upgrade. Windows 8 was a step too far too soon. I believe Microsoft should have introduced the Metro interface as an option rather than force it upon users.

Right from the release users should have been able to boot to classic desktop with the same old Start bar they a...

ARMA 2 on a much larger scale and with a far better array of weapons and vehicles with better 3d models and more realistic handling with an array of mods offering everything from zombies to WW2 without the fear of being nickel and dimed for every bit of content.

If you're just playing the average FPS, your yearly rinse and repeat Call of Duty or Battlefield game then yes PC's are limited by consoles to a certain extent though the PC versions always look better. If you're going to buy a gaming PC just to play those year on year titles then then you are ignoring the titles where the PC shines, titles like ARMA 2 which is a well matured product and looks every bit as good as the current Battlefield game but on a scale Battlefield players cou...

I stopped using N4G a few years ago because of the Microsoft shills here, look at Techspy in the last few months and the shill articles trying to big up Windows 8 and RT tablet sales. If you read the ToS for most online games they reserve the right to shut down online servers either temporarily or forever, EA are probably one of the worst offenders for this but it is a legitimate concern for XBOX One owners. I still like to play some of my older games and have kept complete series instead of ...

It a good job it's not a sprint because Microsoft tied their shoelaces together.

I own a 360 and PS3 but my day 1 purchase will be the PS4. I might wait and see with the XBOX One, for now the momentum is all with Sony and with some of the barriers like cross party chat being brought down with the PS4 I could see a lot of my 360 owning friends jumping ship.

I tried EVE a month or two ago. I ne'er took up my chance to try the beta test but had seen mates become addicted to it over the years but I was always busy playing something else. Curiosity finally got the better of me but I was just overwhelmed with small pop up menu's crammed with information. I'm not a lazy gamer or a stupid one, I regularly play flight sims and RTS games but the learning curve was so great I felt I could not give it the time needed.

ARMA 2 was hampered by a really clunky interface, poor animations and dialogue from NPC's etc but ARMA 3 pretty much fixes that and already the mods are coming like Warfare and the insanely addictive Wasteland and its only a matter of time before Dayz and mods like Invasion 1944 get ported across. I love the battlefield series but you can have that and more in ARMA 2 and 3 with far better detailed and much larger terrain and vehicles and realistic weapons.

"The console Apple doesn’t want you to know about."

The one they promoted and released worldwide and sold for two years? That's the secret huh? Ooook. Must be a slow month of sites need to dig up old information like this that has been talked about for years and present it like some kind of scoop.

The problem with MOHW on PCis that it looks and plays like a straight cut, copy and paste of the XBOX version complete with low res textures and low poly count. It's like they were so desperate to get the game running at a decent FPS on the 360 and PS3 that they stripped it down so far it would have taken nearly a complete re-write to do the PC version justice so with a deadline fast approaching they just did a quick and dirty port from the consoles. I really enjoyed the last MOH, it was ...

Give me re-mastered HD Halo series for PC and I'd buy them all and upgrade to Windows 8! I've played the whole series on 360 but would love to see it brought to a new audience on PC, my wife would be one such player who hates using the joypad but would play on PC with mouse and keys.

I've said it before that Microsoft release a turkey every other OS since Win 95 with ME and Vista being note able flops with home users. Windows 7 was a good OS but now Microsoft try to force gamers into Windows 8 with all this XBOX integration just like they tried to force gamers into Vista with DirectX 10.

They deserted PC gamers for the console market after using the PC as a testbed with their Sidewinder peripherals and the Microsoft Gaming Zone but now want a slice of...

Why is the author of this article worried that not all gamers like the same things? I don't mind playing either mode but given the choice I tend to gravtiate towards hardcore mode. The reason is that the maps are small enough that camping isn't such a big deal and there is always a way to get to a camper and take them out. In non hardcore games you just get the kids bunny hopping around, leaping around corners because they know they can take a few hits and then bunny hop away again. H...

I'm hoping its going to be the answer to the stale Call of Duty franchise. Don't get me wrong I enjoy both series but CoD is built on an aged engine and its not really evolved its just got more gimmicky. I'm hoping for a bit of a reboot to the franchise after Black Ops II with a new engine but until then I think this new MoH game will fit the bill- built on a more modern game engine. The last MoH game was fun but didn't take off like it should have, maybe not enough multiplaye...
