Agreed, my last PC was built for Battlefield Bad Company 2 in 2010, I just upgraded my PC so my old PC has gone to my wife and with a £190 graphics card upgrade she can play Battlefield 4 at 1080p if she wants and will it play all the other games we play like DayZ, ARMA 2, ARMA 3 etc.

You don't need the absolute bleeding edge of technology, its a fallacy perpetuated by console fanboys who are too stupid to know better and buy into the propaganda spewed from Microsof...

Bohemia should be sacking Rocket and cracking on with developing DayZ standalone. They had a massive head start but its been lost by Rocket disappearing off to climb a mountain or wasting time over minor details like clothing when off-shoots of the original mod version of DayZ like Epoch have shown where DayZ could be right now.

"Free to play AKA Pay To Win"

Normally I'd agree with that statement but there are a few that you can play without spending a penny on and still enjoy it and be competitive and one of those titles is Planetside 2 so I have high hopes for H1Z1

This is just another chance for publicity for a few select self styled protectors of righteousness to get their name in the newspapers and promote their agenda's. Kids have played with guns and Action Man and other assorted action figures for years and when they can't get guns they make them out of lego or twigs.

Keith Vaz is a master at self promotion but anyone who knows anything about British politics will know he's an odious little toad with a string of alleg...

I've used AMD for years but for my recent upgrade I went with nVidia and I'm really happy. I don't bother with beta release drivers, I'll wait for the signed ones.

Absolutely, I've just finished building a new rig and installed fresh copies of all my games so there is no bloat on my system and all the games are freshly downloaded from Steam. In ARMA 2 I can attain a steady 50+ framerate, ARMA 3 on ultra settings over 60 FPS and then DayZ Standalone - 30-40 dropping as low as 23 fps and large lag spikes freezing the screen and this is on a Core i7 clocked to 4.4GHz with 16GB of 2133mhz RAM and a nVidia GTX 780ti graphics card. He has a long way to go...

I thought Bohemia have said for a long time their engine would not translate well to consoles. They need to get cracking on the PC version first and I think the bottleneck is Dean Hall. Dayz standalone is way behind even his last stable DayZ mod release in terms of features never mind where the community has taken it - particularly DayZ Epoch.

He has spent far too much time obsessing over being able to change individual garments of clothing and rewrote the inventory system to...

Xbox users are living in cloud cuckoo land if they think DX12 will magically transform their consoles. Consoles are always running as 'close to the metal' as they can, they are designed to just play games unlike the PC which is why the PC will benefit most from this update. Its wrong that Microsoft are letting fanboys get carried away with writing stupid articles like 'Microsofts secret sauce' and not putting them straight. Updating to DX12 will not suddenly grow some extra RA...

I'm hoping to spend a bit more time with Planetside 2 once my PC is upgraded later this week. Pop up adverts may be annoying but the game is free and unlike so many other 'freemium' games its not got a 'pay to win' structure, you can quite happily play for free and not feel forced to pay for game changing weapons or features.

It's his obsession with minor details like being able to change your trousers and jacket separately that is killing the standalone. I couldn't care less for clothing, the old system of one whole outfit was fine. In Dayz Epoch I can already fortify buildings, make camps, drive a huge range of vehicles and use a wide variety of guns and yet Dayz Standalone lags behind while Rocket obsesses over the colour of your shoelaces.

From what I've heard from some people in ...

He's released a roadmap his team hasn't seen?? The sooner he goes and gives up control of Dayz standalone the better. His obsession over small features like dressing your avatar while ignoring glaring gameplay issues like not even being able to set up a camp or use a vehicle like you could in the mod is one of the reasons many players have gone back to the mod version and branches of the mod like Dayz Epoch which is an example of where Dayz could be.

With a new studio we may see some progress past a long list of broken promises from Dean 'Rocket' Hall. Dayz Epoch mod shows where Dayz could have been if Rocket had stopped obsessing over small things like the colour of your trousers.

Publishers have to be careful how much they hype a product. I went from being really excited about Titanfall to getting a little burnt out on the blanket coverage given to this one game. In the end I found it to be a fun game, one I am enjoying playing and would recommend to friends but its by no means perfect.

For a AAA price you don't get any single player campaign, weapons are limited and there are not many game modes. On the plus side because its running on an older ...

I think 8/10 is not only a very good score for a game but in this case a very fair one. Its a lot of fun and I'm enjoying the PC version but it has no single player campaign, a limited array of weapons, graphics don't stand out, limited multi-player modes and all for the price of a regular AAA title.

When a site gives a game perfect scores it loses credibility to me, even worse when the reviewer lists the less than stunning visuals, limited weapons and content and says it's not perfect but then gives it a perfect score.

I'm enjoying Titanfall on the PC and would recommend it to friends, it's a fun game but by no means perfect but I've never played a 'perfect' game in my 30+ years gaming. Buy Titanfall, I'm sure you'll enjoy it but don't...

I wouldn't bother, Dayz standalone has less features than the mod. I'm disappointed by it and in hindsight I should have held onto my money and kept playing Dayz Epoch which is the most advanced mod version that moved on quite a way after Rocket left. Instead of cracking on with the game and making sure core features were there like making a camp etc Rocket obsessed over little things like outfits when other important features were missing. Quite frankly I couldn't give a shit abo...

On the whole I think its a good game, its not revolutionary or breaking any new boundaries but I feel I am getting my money's worth.

That said maybe it was rushed to be a near launch title exclusive for XBOX One. Players will complete a single player story if its good or if you unlock items as you go for multi-player for example. It didn't feel like Respawn gave much thought to even giving TF a bare bones background story, even the enemy are just called 'the mili...

Agreed, I've never played 'the perfect game' and for me if I see a site giving a 5/5, 10/10 100% score the site loses credibility to me as I wonder either how deep they went into reviewing the game just so they could be one of the first out with a review or whether they have just been paid off as part of the PR offensive.

Its a fun game, its definitely going to have a place in my meagre gaming time between bouts of ARMA 2, Battlefield 4 and Ghosts but its not the revolution some would lead you to believe. I was quite excited about the game after last years E3 and pre-ordered the moment it was available but I've got a bit burnt out on all the hype around it, so much so it started to dull the anticipation of its release. While I don't think it lives up to some of the hype I would recommend it to friends ...
